Microsoft Game Studios GM Shane Kim Speaks!

ShaneThe always informative and entertaining General Manager of Microsoft Games Studios, Shane Kim, participates in a timely interview with the folks over at seattlepi.com on the eve of the Xbox 360 launch.

Answering several pointed questions, Shane reveals that 3rd party developers are completely responsible for their own prcing models. Microsoft has no influence in the $59.99 price point.
"I think we'll also have to, as an industry, look at ways where we can reduce costs without reducing the overall quality of the titles that we produce. Different business models, who knows, maybe things become more episodic, as well. This kind of tension is good because it will lead to innovation not only in terms of the content but also in the business models."
Let's see how all this "tension" pans out.
