360 media capabilities investigated
As we all know, the 360 is about more than games. Way more than games. If you want to take a closer look at its media functionality, without having to go to extreme lengths to buy one, then this article should help. Highlights: The setup may be a bit geeky for some; the interface seamlessly fits with the Media Center UI; no DivX or XviD support, but full hi-res WMV worked fine; the Xbox's online functionality practically indistinguishable from the equivalent on PC.
So far, it's looking good, though for those of us without the Media Center edition of Windows -- or without Windows at all -- it's doubtful quite how much use these features will get.
[Thanks, Mike]

Any possability of an interface coming to the Mac that will allow direct transfer of MP3s, videos, etc. over a wireless network to the xBox? Slim chance I know... just hoping :-)

Quick question regarding music ... I know you can stream music directly from a source like an ipod (or in my case my external hard drive), but has anybody found a way to transfer music directly onto the 360 hard drive so i dont have to keep it hooked up and can use songs for custom soundtracks? I'd hate to have to rip all my cds manually....
