Gamer clothing: Xbox Gear
Nintendo has to be making a killing from all of the licensed clothing that has become so popular recently. Not to be outdone, Microsoft has unveiled the Xbox Gear store, featuring an array of Xbox themed products, including t-shirts, hats, jackets, hoodies, and miscellany like frisbees, tumblers, lanyards, and even mini foam footballs. This is all part of the overall strategy to increase the strength of the Xbox brand; see the recent gameplay-less, brand-driven commercials. Considering their competition is with world-class brands like Nintendo and PlayStation, this might not be such a bad idea. How far will some t-shirts go to improving their brand?

There are some really slick items in there and for not that much. Once again, Microsoft does something right this time that they failed to do last time...
Dare I say it - they're learning!

The Xbox Gear store has been around for a pretty long time, but was pretty hard to find. I only stumbled across its former incarnation (with Xbox, not Xbox 360 merch) through the Bungie.net store.

Yeah, gameplay-less commercials focusing away from the console itself, since nobody can actually get their hands on the damned thing. :/
