Gamer clothing: Xbox Gear

Xbox gearNintendo has to be making a killing from all of the licensed clothing that has become so popular recently. Not to be outdone, Microsoft has unveiled the Xbox Gear store, featuring an array of Xbox themed products, including t-shirts, hats, jackets, hoodies, and miscellany like frisbees, tumblers, lanyards, and even mini foam footballs.

This is all part of the overall strategy to increase the strength of the Xbox brand; see the recent gameplay-less, brand-driven commercials. Considering their competition is with world-class brands like Nintendo and PlayStation, this might not be such a bad idea. How far will some t-shirts go to improving their brand?
