How scratched discs happen

Scratchy disc enclosure from llammaThe folks over at Llamma sure are busy. A lot of you are having problems with scratched discs, and by delving into the innards of the 360, they've found the culprit--part of the laser housing.

It's surprising how easy it is to ruin a game worth almost as much as the console (or so it seems), so don't try this at home. Keep your console still while any discs are spinning, and you should be OK.
