Xbox 360 to cash in by July '06
Console launches are no stranger to
speculation concerning production costs. Even by recent numbers it
looks like Microsoft has to bite the bullet on losses per console. However, Microsoft believes that the Xbox 360 could
take it to the bank in profits by this next July. Not unlike the original Xbox's predicament, many believe it will take a certain blockbuster game to make that turn-around. After all, Halo 2 spurred the Xbox division's most profitable quarter back in the day.

I think they'd make a hell of a lot more money if they started selling new games for $39.99. I know I'd buy about twice as much as I do now (which is a new game every month or so). $59.99 is just damn steep for console games all things considered.

there going to make a killing in there marketplace, thats how they plan making up for it.
I bought a game that was made in the 1980s for 800 points($5), everyday i check that market place I see things getting more and more expensive and it become clear to me that was the plan from the beginning. so of like those impluse products and the shopping check out line, that you think about buying only becasue its right there, the marketplace is the same thing, becasue they just bill it to you cc and you get a bill at the end of the month which is to late. I can't return points once i used them.
for 5000 points it costs $62 which is what they get for a game, and they cut out the middleman, this money goes right back to ms, zooma cost 1200 point thats 1/4 of the $62 dollars or $13 dollars for a game that has already turned a profit, all xbox has to do is keep pump crap thought the marketplace and they turn a profit in a few months.
