Connect360 connects your Mac to your 360

For those of you who didn't want to bother sullying your Mac OS sensibilities with the hands-on setup required for TwonkyVision's UPnP MediaServer software, you've missed out on what used to be the only way to get your music and photos from your Mac to your 360. Nullriver, makers of the excellent PSPWare, introduce Connect360, which "automatically indexes your iTunes and iPhoto libraries and shares them to your Xbox 360. You can then use the Xbox 360 Dashboard to browse and play your media, organized in the exact same way that it is on your Mac. "
Anyone manage to get it working? My wireless router is wonky if I keep the bridge on the same subnet... in other words, my 360 and G4 can't see each other.

To get your Mac to connect with your Xbox 360 through the Mac firewall, you will have to enable these ports:
1900 UDP and 9335 TCP
I had to email them and ask, but mine now works great! Only plays MP3s but they are working on a way to play AAC files.

WOW! This is great software. Clean interface... zero setup... it just works like it should. Even shows the albums for iPhoto correctly on the xbox. This is a GREAT step forward for mac/360 users.

I don't have a Mac, but I can't for the life of me get Windows Media Connect thing to work right...

I just downloaded it... installed it... turned on my 360 and bam... awesome.... really great software. When I got my 360 I was not suprised but still bummed it wouldn't connect with my mac... now it does... 10 bucks well spent to me. I recommend it to anybody.

Wow... that is a fantastic program. So much easier to use that that TwonkyVision thing. I already sent them my $10. I really can't recommend this highly enough for Mac / XBox360 users. Total set up time was about 1 minute.
One hint.. if you had TwonkyVision set up before (and decided you didn't like it, like I did), you have to have your XBox connect to a "new computer". Once you do that, it works like a champ.
Oh, and the trial only allows access to 100 songs and 100 photos. More than enough to let you decide this work fantastically. I want to give these guys a nice plantoic man-hug.

If you had Twonkey, make sure you delete it, go to activity monitor, and make sure nothing that is part of that app is still running. I had that problem, then the developer told me to look if any part of twonky was running. The part that doesnt delete with the app is the part that keeps port 1900 in use...

It works really great BUT only on the dashboard, no ingame music. Bring on the updates!

it works fine and ingame music works great.I was playing PG3 with Arctic Monkeys.Very nice app.
Version 1.0 is out and supports AAC.

Works fine once you get rid of the dregs of Twonky's software. I was more than happy to send them my $10. One tip: If you have mp3 or AAC files encoded at a higher rate (mine were at 192), you'll have to set transcoding to 'highest' before your 360 will see all of them. Rockin' app.

Fantastic. Really awesome. Rarely am I that quick to send a shareware fee, but I did for this. I just hope they have no legal problems with Microsoft...

Okay, so I read this article and though that this sounded like a cool app to have. I have an iMac G5 and am running 10.3.9, so I meet the system requirements. I began first by downloading the application and then went ahead and created and enabled the 2 ports in my firewall settings as instructed. Then turned on the 360 and launched 360Connect, but it is not working the way I am expecting. maybe someone here can give me some tips. I have my G5 connected to my Linksys wireless router via athernet cable, and my 360 is connected to my router via the M$ wireless network adapter. The 360 connect application sees my xbox, but I am not finding anything on my Media blade that resembles my iTunes or iPhoto libraries. I know it is limited to 100 songs and 100 photos, but I'm seeing nothing there. All I can do is go to Media>Photos>computer> and then it gives me the option to cancel or to set up a PC for windows media center, yada yada yada. So first, am I attempting to use this correctly? If not let me know exactly what you do on the 360 to have access to your music and photos. If I'm doing it correctly, then does anyone have advice to help me get this running properly? Thanks~
