Xbox games to Xbox 360: the improvement

GameSpot set out to determine just how much better original Xbox games look on the Xbox 360. While the compatibility list grows, this type of comparison will be all the more valuable. To add some more kick to the distinction between the two, they compiled a video with both sources to see how noticeable it is. The game in question is Halo 2 and was recorded in 480p and 720p.
They provide a screenshot that does more than enough to prove the contrast though. One of the biggest things that the Xbox 360 improves for the game are the jaggies. Coupled with a higher resolution, it's easy to see where the advantage lies. Check out the feature to see the other games and their improvements as well (DOA3, GTA: Vice City and The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction).
If you haven't already dropped your last-gen console, you may have another reason to now.

I wish I had a last-gen (read: XBox 1) console to consider dropping! I never owned an XBox but bought a 360 because of the advertised backward compatibility. Unfortunately EVERY XBox title I'm interested in (except for Halo 2) is NOT on the list.
Here we are in mid-Feb, approaching the 3 month mark after the initial launch and only one minor update happened in Dec 05.
Support for BC has been quite disappointing.

Um, yeah. This is really great but theres way too many games not on the list for me to get excited about it. I'm more then a little jacked that I still have my old XBOX sitting just below the 360........

Thank god I keep my old modded Xbox with 54 games on My 160g harddrive that I put in that sucka (I know you hate that I didn't have to buy none of those games don't you(MSFT)... lol) because backwards compatibility has been a joke, I played halo 2 on 360 and the dam thing was slowing down, I was like WTF this is 360 it can't handle it?
Or is the backward compatibility engine just that bad...
Now I find I play more games on my old xbox then I do on 360... just finished playing BLACK amazing game for xbox, and i'm still having fun on burnout revenge and Midnight club 3 DUB edition - man I love that game...
Can't wait for remix to come out so I can download that.
I hope they make a 360 version with super improved graphics... that would be a killer game for 360, and that's the only way i'm going to buy that game, is if they come out for 360 otherwise forget it..
And since 360 has been such a pain to stream movies I still use my old xbox using XBMC and it plays everything divx, xvid, mpeg, wma - everything.. Plus I can stream it off the pc using the wireless with no problems straight to the xbox...(so no need to copy movies just games are on the harddrive - movies stay on the PC) I should put some video or pics up. it's just too sweet.
Just finished watching the soparnos 4 season to prepare for March 12 when the new season starts, that should be pretty hot.

Before any criticism, you have to consider that the 360 is a fairly new console..give it some time

Um... Gamespot did this feature months ago. This isn't new news. Keep it tight like butt cheeks people.
