XCM360 5 output cable has five outputs!

Constantly moving your 360 from screen to screen? VGA connection in the office, component downstairs, S-video at Grandma's place, regular old composite in the laundry room?
No, you don't? Neither do we...but apparently somebody does, 'cause Team Xtender's new XCM360 5 Output Cable provides five separate output methods for your 360 all in one cable! There's no price or release date info yet, but considering how overpriced mind-numbingly marked-up first-party console cables are, it wouldn't surprise us if this ended up being competitively priced.
Team Xtender is also offering the XCM Multi-Console Component Cable, a cable with component connections on one end and PS2, Xbox, and Xbox 360 connections on the other. This I can wrap my brain around.
For some reason Team Xtender's site doesn't support permalinks to entries, so you'll have to scroll down to the post to read it.

i DO have my 360 plugged into 2 displays on a regular basis.
#1 is a SDTV via s-video
#2 is an HDTV projector
However, even though I have the Joytech HD cable (which has both of these outputs) I STILL have to unplug from the normal TV before I use my projector or I get a very dark image. (I guess it spilts some of the output voltage). I also need to move TWO switches.
Any idea if this is a better option?

No HDMI, no deal!

What about picture's quality? Is it in place?
its420 @ Apr 24th 2006 5:58PM
It is possible that picture quality may suffer. with so many connections they are not focusing on delivering the best picture quality. they are just trying to put on as many attachments as possible while also keeping their production costs down.
Trauts @ Apr 24th 2006 6:21PM
As long as that had high picture quality, I wouldn't mind picking it up... except I already have all the cables I need. I don't want to spend more to combine them all into one...
That aside, the official VGA connector for the 360 makes it washed out... not expecting it to be different here, but maybe. I'll stick to the V-Digi VD-Z3 for VGA when I need VGA instead of component.

You don't get the "split voltage" (actually, extra resistance) problem with this cable that you do with normal multi-out multi-in cables, because this has an actual physical switch on it to switch between the two, cutting off the other five options and only leaving one, so picture quality doesn't suffer.

Pretty cool stuff right there.. But like Trauts said, I already have the ones I need.. and my PC LCD isn't widescreen so that wouldn't help much.
