TGS and X06, live from your living room
We reported a few weeks ago that Microsoft was planning on bringing TGS and X06 home this year, much the same way they did for E3. Microsoft has now made it official, launching this page detailing what 360 users can expect. If you had a 360 during E3, you know the drill. Expect lots of game demos, trailers, content downloads (Alan Wake theme? F*ck yeah!), and behind the scenes videos. Coverage is set to begin September 20th -- That's Wednesday for those of you keeping score -- and will run through September 29th. We can't wait. It's things like this that make us glad we're 360 fanboys. Check out the press release -- including some of the hot ticket games -- after the break.You don't have to be on the Tokyo Game Show and X06 guest lists to have a front row seat to all of the action, because this year Xbox® brings these event show floors to you. Following the success of "E3: Bringing It Home," Xbox is inviting everyone to enjoy exclusive access via Xbox Live® Marketplace to the Tokyo Game Show, the largest show from the world's second largest gaming market, and X06, the ultimate Microsoft games showcase.
Starting Wednesday, September 20, through Friday, September 29, connect to Xbox Live and access the best content from the Tokyo Game Show in Japan and X06 in Barcelona, Spain. Enjoy highlights from both press briefings, daily updates, and behind-the-scenes videos from the show floors, as well as the hottest playable game demos and videos in high definition. The majority of this content will only be available for a limited time until 12:00 A.M. PDT on September 29, so be sure to download everything you want while you can.
In total, more than 100 pieces of new downloadable content will be available during the nine day period, including a never before announced major franchise on Xbox Live Arcade. In addition to new playable game demos, there will also be new game videos from the following titles being showcased at Tokyo Game Show and/or X06:
* Call of Duty® 3 (Activision)
* Forza Motorsport™ 2 (Microsoft Game Studios)
* Kane & Lynch: Dead Men (Eidos)
* Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom (Microsoft)
* Project Sylpheed (Square-Enix)
* Shrek the Third™ (Activision)
* Viva Piñata™ (Microsoft Game Studios)
* Additional high-definition videos from games to be announced at Tokyo Game Show and X06.
If you're looking to further personalize your Xbox 360™ experience, Xbox Live will feature new picture packs and themes for titles including Alan Wake, Fable® 2, Mass Effect™, and Forza Motorsport™ 2. You'll be able to download a free picture pack, theme, and an exclusive scene prior to the SCI FI Channel's Battlestar Galactica season premiere on October 6, 2006 (U.S. only).
Stay tuned to the Xbox Live Calendar pages on Xbox.com (xbox.com/bringingithome) for more information on the schedule of events taking place during the Xbox Live "Bringing It Home" week. If you're not connected to Xbox Live yet, what are you waiting for? Sign up today to Bring Tokyo Game Show and X06 Home on your Xbox 360!

The E3 "Bring it Home" went smashing so I hope this is just as good. Still though, I don't even know why MS is even at TGS, the Japanese have done little to nothing to support our beloved 360! Maybe the games or maybe a cultural bias who knows..

It won't be coming live from my living room, because after 9 months I finally got the Ring of Death, and my system will no longer turn on.

Could we see a new Halo 3 video? I can dream, can't I? I'm hoping for a demo for Mass Effect, Too Human, or Sonic. Just one of those would have me swooning.

#4.. I'm right there with ya.. After reading posts of failing 360's, smiling, believing I had a good one, mine has also fallen in to the burning ring of fire.. I will be sending it in for repair as soon as I get the empty box from MS, and I have also filed my complaint to the BBB. A 400 dollar device should not fail when babied and taken care of in a heat free environment.. I really thought I was out of the woods after 7 months and no problems. I was wrong..

Hagfish... I'm also waiting for my Xbox coffin to arrive in the mail. It really burns me that I have to blow another $140 on this thing. I also filed my complaint with the BBB. You should also go www.consumeraffairs.com a file a complaint. An article on there says the number of complaints they received has tripled in the last few weeks, leading me to believe this is a widespread problem, and we all need to let as many people as possible know about it.
