The gooey center of Lost Planet CE
Lost Planet is almost here and what better way to ruin the excitement of opening the collector's edition box on launch day than taking a peak inside now? Over at Brian Dunn's blog he posted pictures of all the crap, erm, stuff you get in the Lost Planet Collector's Edition. A double DVD set, sexy metal box, bonus map redemption card, and a full color manual (FTW!) Looks like the CE case will be real nice. I wish all CEs/LEs would be along the lines of Perfect Dark Zero, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory and Halo 2. Recent CEs/LEs look subpar as far as the case of the game is concerned (i.e. Rainbow 6: Vegas or Splinter Cell: Double Agent). Gears' case wasn't bad but I hate how they packaged the actually game.

ShadowedAsh, if you think they packaged the Gears disc poorly, you should've seen how the Prey's collector's edition was packaged.
After taking fifty seconds just to FIND the disc, the actual surface on my copy was scratched up due to the poor package design.

Haha. I've heard horror stories of Prey's LE case but was, fortunately, unable to find an LE when I wanted to pick it up. I quickly became impatient and just bought the regular edition. Good thing too; The game was incredibly short and I consider a game "done" when I unlock all the achievements and, well, I did. :)
