Guitar Hero II to have Original's tracks on Marketplace

Gamespot held an interview with RedOctane's Dusty Welch about the much anticipated Guitar Hero II for Xbox 360. One question came up that is probably on the minds of many fans of the series: Will Guitar Hero's tracks be available for download over Marketplace? Welch didn't outright spill the beans that all of the tracks would be there for the taking on launch day, as no specifics on the content has been confirmed yet. What he did say, however, was that fan feedback had high demand for the original's set list, and it would be a safe bet to see a good portion of the songs.

So, should Guitar Hero's tracks be available for download to play on GHII, how would you want the content organized? One big 47 song download featuring all the tracks, broken up into the same sets as the first game, genre based, or even single song downloads of the "fan favorites"? We'll be satisfied as long as "More Than A Feeling", "Killer Queen", "Sharp Dressed Man", and all the other top-notch tunes are confirmed.

Now I just need them to announce and adapter for PS2 controllers and I'll have no regrets of purchasing Guitar Hero II for the 360...I really don't wanna buy a new controller, especially after I just bought the official Wireless one.

I bet they have licensing issues with getting all the songs on the 360. they have to figure out paying whoever the right amount for each song. Since guitar hero is a hit now and not some unknown game when the first one was made, I bet they want a bigger piece of pie, too. Damn lawyers, I bet they screw this up.

Please put that in a single pack. Or may 2 if you separate the original songs from the unlockable songs. I would buy both packs anyway. I want to play "Get ready to rockk" again!!!

I'm going to predict song packs will be $10 for 5 songs. Get over using your ps2 guitars on 360. You need a guide button on the controller. I'm just hoping for bass tracks on the GH songs.

Does any one know whats going on with the release date for Guitar Hero? I go into game stop they tell me it was pushed from March 17th to April 3rd is this true? I havnt seen anything on fanboy or anywhere else. Its also on their website it says Pre-Release Ships 4/3/2007 http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product_id=200268

I'd love to play cowboys from hell again... i love that song!! Release got pushed back in the UK as well...it was meant to be released on the same day as the PS3 which obviously would be a bad move so it got pushed back to the 6th April. I'm guessing the US date got pushed back with the UK one to stop any complaints maybe?? Imports? i'm not sure!
