Alien Hominid HD reviewed

Our buddies at XBLArcade report that the latest issue of the Official Xbox Magazine contains a review for Alien Hominid HD for Xbox Live Arcade. The review cites the games unique visuals, excellent co-op, and nonstop action as the game's good points. The review also notes that the game is finished too quickly and that the minigames aren't really worth much playtime. Overall, the game receives a 7.5 out of 10. Not too shabby. Unfortunately, the review doesn't state how much the game will cost with it hits the Arcade. We're hoping the game will debut for 800 points or less.

So there you go, Alien Hominid HD is pretty good. Now all we need is a release date.

400 points? If it's 800 points, it's half the price of the PC version.

Here's someone who won't be buying it. It was terrible on PS2 (which I bought used for $6.95), and I can't imagine it'll be any better on XBLA.

400 points? You guys are cruel. I can understand insisting that 20yr old arcade ports cost 400 points...but this is an original game from an independent developer. Honestly if you want to screw developers that badly, why not just pirate? Complaining when companies are legitimately trying to rip gamers off (EA's cheats, Bethesda's Horse Armor, Over-priced Lumines functionality) makes sense. But $10 is too much for an awesomely fun to play indie title? What do you use your 360's for? I mean if $10 is too much to pay for a fun game... what kind of hemorrhaging occurs when you walk into a store and see games on the shelf for 6 times that price? I mean are we talking blood jets from the nose and mouth or what?
