Is it true? Devil May Cry 4 coming to the 360

Jonah tipped us off on the contents of his official Playstation Magazine (yes, the same one with the Gears ad). Inside, there is an article discussing the future of Devil May Cry 4 and whether it will remain a PS3 exclusive. PSM is reporting that Capcom will be showing some more Microsoft love and will be bringing the series to the Xbox 360. We've all heard this rumor before, but we're starting to feel a little more giddy by the day. Are you guys interested in Devil May Cry 4 coming to the 360 and do you think it'll help with console sales?

I think it'll neither hurt not help consoles sales to be on multiple platforms; I've always played the DMC games on a PS console, but I wouldn't be opposed to it being on the 360 (seeing as how I don't have a PS3 yet...).

I for one don't care about this series. The first one was nice, but found that the follow-ups just didn't do it anymore. Same goes for the FF series. It has lost it's luster to me since FFX. These use to be the reasons I wanted a PS but have grown tired of these type of games (ie: the stories, the typical character styles).
Though I think some people will go ga-ga for it, so I hope it helps out the 360.

Ild love this, DMC is a big reason Im picking up a ps3, im still getting a PS3 just because I like to have all the consoles but man DMC with achievements and possibly online multiplayer (I can dream no?) would be amazing.

Shouldn't be a surprise. The rumors about vf5 were true, this rumor is likely true and the MGS rumors are probably true as well. Developers are in the business of making money and you can't make money when your software only sells 500k copies.

I love how this site thinks every playstation exclusive blows chunks... that is.. until it comes to the 360 in which case it would be an awesome addition to the 360's lineup.

Why have all the consoles if only Nintendo and Microsoft seem to have third party exclusives now? Really, what's the point? Save your $600 and buy 10 Xbox 360 games.

Oh this would be great. DMC4 was one of the games making me remotely consider getting a PS3. But if comes out on the 360 that would be one less reason to shell out the cash for a PS3.

IMO this will not stimulate console sales. That being said though, I do think that this would be an excellent title on the 360 and would sell many copies to existing console owners.

Heck Yes, I'm interested! Bring it, and of course it will sell some consoles. I've been ready for this since I got rid of my PS2 that was collecting dust while I played HALO non-stop.

I have never been a big fan of this series. What excites me is more games Playstation exclusive coming to the 360 and more games exclusive for the 360.

Yeah, I don't care about this game, but I'm a 360 fanboy and PS3 basher so I would love for this to happen for that sake. Yet another slap in the face to PS3 losing another exclusive.

Never cared much for devil may cry.
however, to many of my friends it would be a decisive step towards buying an xbox 360.
So yea. A 360 devil may cry would be great....plus, one more hard blow to an already messed up playstation 3.

Anyone ambivalent to this game either a) didn't play 1 and 3, or b) couldn't beat 3.
If this is real, this will sell consoles -- starting with me. I've been on the fence, playing my buddy's 360 for a while now. I could care less about the vastly overrated MSG games (even though I've owned and beaten all of the previous ones), but this will seal the deal for me.

id love it! ive only played DMC a couple times but thought it was a great action/adventure game. bring it on! it will sell! hey capcom, maybe you can ass some co-op online action.

I wouldn't say this one title will sell tons of consoles, but it certainly may sway some of the fence sitters.
Personally, I'd love this on the 360. I never owned a Playstation and so it would be my first with the series. But I love action/adventure games so it will definitely be on my list if it comes to 360.

I loved the original. I'd never played anything with quite as much atmosphere before. Well designed, scary and engrossing. By the time the sequels came out I'd moved on to Xbox though and was reluctant to buy PS2 games. I'd always wanted the game on Xbox so I could use custom soundtracks. Having Cradle of Filth's layered gothic melodies, fierce drum beats, apocalyptic guitars and Dani's bizarre shrieking pumping out would be a match made in heaven. Here we are in the new generation and it just might be happening. To think of what it would look like too; HD, incredibly realistic character models, awesome textures, beautiful dynamic lighting... it's really an exciting prospect!

I thought the series was ok.. I don't think it'll move a lot of systems, but it could encourage others (developers) to start doing more 360 games.

The first Devil May Cry remains one of my all time favorite games. DMC2 was a horrible let down, but the series was redeemed with DMC 3, (although I'll admit #3 is a hard game to beat). DMC 4 is one of a handful of "PS3 Only" titles that make me want to buy a PS3. I love my 360, but it all boils down to one thing: the games. I bought a xbox because that was the only way I could play Halo. At the time I really liked my PS2; not because of the machine itself or the fact that Sony made it, but because of it's huge library of games.
Whenever a new multi-platform game came out I would almost always buy the xbox version over the PS2 version. The handful of times I didn't was when the store I went to did not have a copy for the xbox and I knew that the differences were minimal. I gradually began to prefer the xbox to the PS2 because the xbox is a superior console. But as long as good games are released only on the PS2, (God Of War, Okami, Bully, FFXII, Guitar Hero, Shadow Of The Colossus, to name a few) I will buy them. This goes for the Wii and the PS3 as well. I consider myself a gamer because I love to play games every chance I get. And there is no way I'm going to miss good games just because they come out on another console. I love my 360 because,(in my opinion), right now it has the best games. Not because Microsoft is the manufacturer. I hate being a Brand Whore. The day will come when I will have a good time playing a game on the PS3, because it is exclusive to that console.
It would be alot easier on my bank account if every good game came out on one console. But competition makes for better products, and in the end the gamers will win. As long as we can afford to play.

I would LOVE for the DMC series to come to the 360! DMC3: Special Edition is probably my favorite PS2 game.
When I got a 360 over a PS3, I was kinda sad that I wouldn't be able to play DMC4, but I thought Ninja Gaiden would be a good substitute. But now...now need for a substitute! Hopefully now I can play both DMC4 AND Ninja Gaiden 2.
And that would mean MGS4 and FFXIII would be the only PS3 games that I'd want, but not be able to have.

I still haven't played 2 or 3 yet, but might by that set with all of them for $40 at Best Buy (already own the first, but the other 2 and a second copy for $40 is a steal!) to beat them, but I'd definitely be interested in it.
Another A+ title can't hurt!

Bring it on!!! The DMC series was & still is awesome with the exception of #2. This is major news if Capcom announces that DMC is coming to the 360. The news of this installment w/ the new character, Nero, & the new gameplay aspects have left me drooling & praying that this will one day grace the 360.

And I sure hope that Square Enix has the intelligence to put FFXIII on the Xbox 360, because the Playstation 3 is selling terrible in Japan, too.

i personally am a big fan of the series and dmc4 and mgs4 are the only reasons I'd get a ps3. I hardly think 360 sales would increase if it was released on the 360 because the game doesn't appeal to the mainstream audience as much.

hey Dustin. Not to be technical, but you quotes OPM not PSM. PSM is that unofficial PS mag that doesn't get paid to give a little better scores to 1st party games.

It's not happening. Don't get your hopes up.
The comment made by Capcom is as follows:
"If this title stays exclusive(Capcom may take a second look at 360 after its success on the system with Dead Rising), it could be the deciding factor for action fans."
What they mean is that Other titles, will most likely be multiplatform.
DMC is still exclusive to the Sony name. Capcom has said so multiple times already.

o0o, hell ya if devi may cry 4 come for 360.....wat so many of my friends have 360 and hopes it comes for 360 just like metal gear solid 4....i think it should by the time dmc4 comes out there will be wattt?.....20 million 360s sold and was maby 5million ps3's sold....many of my friends didnt buy a ps3 cuz cost too much money...and there was no good titles comming for it....the only good titles sony has is....devil may cry 3, and metal gear sold 4....personally...i would care if i had to pay 100 for devil may cry 4 on 360 or metal gear solid 4 i would mind if there cost me 100...my opinion if they put them 2 games on 360...ps3 is done.....endo story.....hell with sony!!!!!
