After a little delay, the once
rumored Xbox 360 Rewards program has officially started! Head over to
Xbox.com, register for the program and start increasing your gamerscore. Though, it looks like the site's server is crumbling under the stress so give it some time. And remember readers, this program is only open to US residents, but may expand to other countries depending on the success of the program in the States. Good luck everyone and be sure to purchase a case or three of Old Spice. It's the only cologne for real men.

HAVE you GUY'S tried to get on?? It does'nt work!!! YAHHH!!!!!! I hate slow servers!!!!
SeNiLe @ Feb 12th 2007 10:36PM
This blows!!! I have been on there site all day and can not sign in. There have been a few that where able to sign up and get registered so far and have little to go to get there 1,500 points already and the rest of us have yet to register. Thanks a lot MS, Xbox, Xbox Live, Old Spice, anyone involved with this flawed contest. They should have made it where you sign up for the contest and then a week later at a given time the contest starts and then you let them know when you have finished to see if you are in the top 2,500. Get a clue. This is worst then the Halo 3 beta sign up.
MitchyD @ Feb 12th 2007 10:37PM
So... No Canada?
Fucking LAME. MS is seriously fucking Canada big time.
Flame @ Feb 12th 2007 10:49PM
wtf? Cant get on! It takes me to a white page.... As white as George W Bush :|
zachary @ Feb 12th 2007 11:24PM
Heard of the program, but what exactly do you win? As if it isn't bad enough having people playing only for acheivments, now they get rewarded for it.
Byll @ Feb 12th 2007 11:48PM
This contest is a total joke.
Nobody can register, and then when you finally do you realize most of the prizes are limited to 2,500 units.
Yeah, good luck getting those.
J.Goodwin @ Feb 13th 2007 12:06AM
Live and utterly busted.
I think I registered though. Maybe.
WarriorDyke @ Feb 13th 2007 12:57AM
ya waste more time than the frackin' contest is worth.
colin @ Feb 13th 2007 2:49AM
yeah, so i just checked my inbox ... Halo 3 Beta says "Youre In" - woot! just so excited and i don't have any friends to tell
Eric @ Feb 13th 2007 2:55AM
Since 1500 points takes a half-hour tops with the right 2 games, everything but contra will be gone by the end of the day. Really seems to have been poorly done. They should have restricted it to 1 year gold accounts to reduce the level of fraud. Oh well, maybe they'll get it right next time. Not holding my breath though. I already have contra, so there's not going to be anything for me here. Well, except an old spice gamerpic. yeah...
slim @ Feb 13th 2007 3:18AM
achievements make me feel like an inferior gamer. i have lost all will to continue...oh wait! my cheap ass can get free stuff?! i'm in!
Hoffer @ Feb 13th 2007 7:18AM
This is the lamest contest ever. At least a couple million will signup and the best prizes there are only 2,500 of. I would bet that 2,500 people have already upped their gamerscore by 1,500 points.
MS really does a good job at pissing people off. They have good intentions, but always seem to blow it.
nick @ Feb 13th 2007 9:13AM
Where is the official mention of the top 2500? I saw that all over majornelson messages boards, but never found a mention of it on xbox.com
Tony @ Feb 13th 2007 10:03AM
The prizes aren't for the FIRST 2,500 people or anything, so I don't know all of you are going off about. There's a reason the contest lasts two months.
polly @ Feb 13th 2007 10:15AM
Fuzion Frenzy 2, T-shirt, & 200 MS points: 2,500 units (first come, first serve basis)
100 MS points: 6,000 units (first come, first serve basis)
Contra Arcade game: 70,000 units (first come, first serve basis)
Gamer Pictures: no limit shown
"Experience Level Upgrade" for Level 1 & 2: no limit shown
Happy hunting.
LunarDuality @ Feb 13th 2007 10:39AM
Wow...It's 12 hours later and I still can't even log on to the site to register. And now that I know there are only 2500 prizes to win, who cares? I've pretty much lost all desire to participate in this program.
I am tired of MS rewarding those that cheat, scam, happen to have more free time than anyone, or just rent the easiest games to get 1500 points in an hour and screw the rest of us. Why not at the very LEAST make it a lottery system once the contest is done. At least then I'd have a shot! *sigh*
Tony @ Feb 13th 2007 10:48AM
I stand corrected. That's not what I read elsewhere. Sigh.
Well, I guess I'll be giving up on that too lol.
edog @ Feb 13th 2007 12:44PM
Not worth the effort. Not enough prizes. Worst promo ever. Just a way for M$ to get us to to register into Windows Live (.net )so they can feed us more crap. Let me be the first to say Moo. thanks M$ for making us feel like tools.
Alex @ Feb 13th 2007 12:56PM
I've been trying to login to this contest for nearly 24 hours. This is most poorly executed event I've ever seen. The rules were incredibly vague and incomplete. The login is completely broken. And you're more likely to win the lottery than a prize. Dear XBox Live team... spend your time working on a release schedule for XBLA and stop wasting our time with these stupid contests. You've done nothing but lose fans.
John @ Feb 13th 2007 1:17PM
Well idk how many prizes are left, but i finally got thru their shitty server and registered...its only been live for 16 hrs...lame
Michael @ Feb 13th 2007 2:25PM
I can't even register still!!
Cameron @ Feb 13th 2007 6:10PM
still can't register
Jim Kane @ Feb 13th 2007 8:07PM
Honestly -- the rewards program went "live" (and I use the term very loosely) about 24 hours ago, and right now I get the ultra-professional message:
"Sorry, we are very busy at the moment, please try again later."
What. The. Hell. Who's in charge of this 20-marketplace-point operation, anyway?
Randy @ Feb 13th 2007 8:14PM
Come on already wtf? Site hasn't worked since yesterday. Now it's down. Let me guess too many users trying to log in. I want my free contra!
Mr BoomStick XL @ Feb 14th 2007 7:43AM
Maybe I missed the write-up but is it true that there's only 2,500 prizes?? and if that's true this contest is a farse!!! I hope not!!
