Free Halo faceplate with Crackdown purchase

If you are going to be purchasing Crackdown this Tuesday, then you may want to head over to your local Circuit City. Since Crackdown comes with the Halo 3 beta invite, Circuit City is offering a free Halo faceplate (a $20 value) with the purchase of Crackdown. Free stuff always makes us happy, especially free Halo merchandise. And speaking of which, shouldn't it be a mandate that every new Xbox 360 game release has to include a free faceplate? It's a great idea and something we'll be pitching to Microsoft and their lovely marketing team.

circuit city is such crap. it'll probably be a mail-in rebate to make the faceplate free.

Themes and Pictures should come with the game, I think we should also be able to use achievement graphics and Gamerpics too... only the ones you've obtained of course. You'd be able to show the achievement you're most proud of... say like "Survived 1 Million Points" in Geometry Wars.
Of course I think you should be allowed to purchase Gamerpics if you don't have the game. I got a Sonic theme (I'm a fan from the good old days) but I shouldn't have to support their atrocious new game just because I'd like a Sonic theme.
Most faceplates are obnoxious... do people actually use them... I guess I'm just waiting for a good one.

I'll have to go over to CC and get mine, maybe. I pre-ordered it a few weeks ago. Hopefully it the faceplate will show up with it.

root, I don't care about the halo 3 beta. Crackdown is like GTA on crack. hhmmm makes sence now. I'm addicted to the demo. Plus the beta is a nice gift with it too though. Doubt I'll ever play it. It is only a beta. hell a face plate, and beta for another game in a 60 dollar game. It's like chirstmas in Febuary.

I definitely do not want a faceplate with every game I buy. I don't have 40 XBOX 360's, why would I want 40 faceplates?
At least the Halo 3 one looks good though, so that's something at least.

I work for CC- you get the faceplate with the game. My store got like two dozen of them in the other day for the promotion.
CC never does rebates with game-related items. Only computers and peripherals.

I mean I wanted to get Crackdown anyways,not in a rush since I was already in the beta. I go in to Gamestop to grab Phoenix Wright....I a m harassed

hell i have this same faceplate. My girlfriend got me it for xmas.
The one i got came with a redemption code to get a halo theme off XBL. ( i forget which one)
So if this is the same faceplate, you might get a new theme as well!

Yeah, when Gears of War came out, I got the faceplace the same time at the same time as when I picked up the game.

I like the way my 360 looks naked. No need to cover up such beauty.
Now, if I had an ugly PS3 I might want one. I would get the Xbox 360 faceplate for the PS3.

I have a really nice NFL faceplate (go Jets!) and a pretty nice Gears faceplate. I alternate but like them both- some look like crap, but there are quality faceplates out there.

I wonder if Best Buy will match it. Maybe charge $.01 for the face plate. I preordered at BB and intend to use Reward Zone bucks. Plus, for anyone not doing the $5 off scam at BB, why not? Buy one of the blue Video game gift cards - on the back is a coupon for $5 off ANY video game or accessory. Heck, I've bought the GC, put $10 on it, and used it right then to purchase my game. They've never said a word.

Circuit City is a great place to buy videogames. Especially when you get a Circuit City credit card, because you get five times as many points as a Circuit City member than you would if you purchased things with another type of credit card or cash.
I have had Crackdown ordered for quite a while, because it has received great reviews from all the websites I trust. The TeamXbox website at teamxbox.com rated it a 9 out of 10, and so did 1up and several other websites and magazines.
Crackdown is an AWESOME game!
For a while, I thought I would buy it, just to play Halo 3, but after I downloaded the Crackdown demo on Xbox Live, I knew that I would be very interested in playing Crackdown, because it is FUN!!!
And that Halo faceplate at Circuit City looks cool! I am going to make sure and get that one!

Funny thing is, that Halo faceplate comes with it's own Halo Trilogy Dashboard theme (I have the 'plate already, but there's no Circuit City where I live).

Just wanted to say thanks for posting this the other day.
I didn't bother pre-ordering Crackdown because I didn't think there would be a big rush on the game.
I stopped by CC today at lunch and got my free face plate.
It's not a mail in rebate...it's straight up free. Walked up to the register with it and my copy of the game, paid for the game and walked out the door.
