For those of you who can't wait to use your Wireless Racing Wheel, controller, or headset on their PC, we wanted to inform you that the Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows is currently popping up on store shelves. In fact, Fanblogger David Dreger (
Illeisms FTW) came across some receivers in a local London Drugs on the 13th, and we've received a tip from reader Joseph that
EBgames displays them as available. Although, upon calling his local outlets, they had none in stock. So, if you're looking for some Wireless PC gaming, hopefully you will be able to find the receiver with little trouble. Go forth and be fruitful, young fanboys.

I got mine yesterday. Goldeneye plays pretty well with dual anolog. Project64 is really a good emulator. (BTW I own both a 64 and Goldeneye so no yelling)

Yes I got mine last week shipped from Buy.com, but cheaper on Amazon. I paid shipping since they aren't available locally yet. Great unit, install CD first, fired up Flat Out 2 for PC and played with wireless gamepad. The game was a litte confused at first but after starting game I plugged in standard headset into gamepad and fired up Teamspeak just fine. Now I'm hoping they bundle Forza II with the MS Wheel.

I saw 'em at Wal-Mart yesterday here in Canada. What I found interesting was that they're marked as an Xbox 360 accessory, when they're more of a Windows accessory than anyhing.

I meant to say I got it yesterday and it's on an old XP machine. Also it got 5 our of 5 stars here:

I was lucky enough to score one of these last Friday @ the local ebgames. They received a shipment of 3 of them.
I don't know why this thing is so elusive.
Bestbuy.com knows nothing of this accessory at all. Yet, Best Buy For Business (www.bestbuybusiness.com) has them in stock and ready to go.
How backwards is that?
Anyway, very pleased with it. Does everything you would expect it to.

It's been available since Feb. 6. I got mine from Amazon. I was disappointed it didn't work with the Universal Media Remote. Also, you have to reconnect the controller to your Xbox 360 and PC each time you switch it, so you better have one dedicated to each platform. Finally, the installation disk driver did not work. I had to download new drivers from Microsoft's site. They also have the drivers for Vista available.

I didn't know these were hard to come by. When I went to pick up Crackdown at Circuit City, there were a bunch of these in the accessories section. I won't be buying one until Halo 2 for Vista comes out anyway.

This device dominates when used in conjunction with Pinnacle Game Profiler. IT's definitely great for playing FPS and other games on a HTPC when your 2.4ghz wireless keyboard has a touchpad on it ;P
