Raiden IV coming to Xbox 360 (!)
Last year we ran a brief series entitled "That should be on XBLA." In that series we suggested that the arcade classic shooter, Raiden, would be a perfect fit for the service. At the time, we never imagined a full blown sequel would ever arrive on the Xbox 360. Lo and behold: Raiden IV is coming to the Xbox 360. The news comes from a Team Fremont interview with Chong Ahn, product manager for UFO Interactive. UFO Interactive's website, incidentally, doesn't even have an Xbox 360 section. Ahn notes that it has not be decided whether Raiden IV will be a retail product or an Xbox Live Arcade release.
First Ikaruga and now Raiden IV? What did we poor fanboys ever do to deserve this?

I read about this on NeoGAF. I hope we see it relatively soon. I don't know where all these arcade releases go to... I mean, wasn't there supposed to be a bunch of Atari arcade ports in February according to a press release?

Ikaruga was crazy good, Raiden is crazy fun, good games on Arcade, all is good.

Dude! I sacrificed so many laundry baskets for this game. Let's just hope it comes ot some time before 2008.

The Raiden Project on the PS1 was one of my favorite games. It had both Raiden 1 and 2. I still play Raiden 2 every couple months. I have said since day one that a Raiden game on XBLA would be awesome!! An entirely new Raiden game is even better. I never even realized there was a Raiden 3.

I haven't gotten my fix for this kind of thing since the Dreamcast was in full swing, and even then Mars Matrix was as good as it got.
Raiden III on PS2 is going to be sweet (thank you, Tekken 5 arcade stick), but Raiden IV on XB360 is going to be even sweeter (thank you, Dead or Alive 4 arcade stick).
