The top 5 "secret" games coming to 360

According to Planet Xbox 360, the latest Official Xbox Magazine dishes out what its editors believe to be the top 5 games being secretly made for the Xbox 360. More or less the list is a wish list of games that most of us would like to see make an appearance on our beloved console. Many of them have been rumored for quite some time, but it's a nice list nevertheless. Check it out after the break.
- World of Warcraft -- the article suggests that Microsoft is paying Blizzard copious amounts of cash to make a console version of the incredibly successful PC game. OXM expects the game not to be a direct port, but rather a new version designed especially for the console.
- Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic III -- This one is more or less a no-brainer. The first two were successful titles and the franchise has a rabid fan base to utilize.
- Duke Nukem Forever -- considering the success of Prey, it's not too much of a leap to think 3D Realms is considering this for Xbox 360. Of course, they'll probably port Duke Nukem Forever to every platform possible in order to recoup ten years worth of development expenses.
- Crimson Skies 2 -- OXM suggests that the original Crimson Skies was popular enough to warrant a sequel. Supposedly, Microsoft is keeping it under wraps so they'll have something to show off in 2008.
- Hellgate: London -- we've reported this possibility before. OXM conjectures that the 360 version is being kept secret so that Hellgate can help push the Games for Windows brand. Considering the game is being co-published by EA, we wouldn't be surprised if it crosses over to the 360 (where it can make even more money).

Hellgate: London was always one of those titles where I'd wonder why the hell it was never announced for any consoles. It looks pretty awesome and I hope it does show up.
LunarDuality @ Mar 13th 2007 2:50PM
I'm not saying that some of those games could be amazing or great additions to the 360 library...but for me..."meh"
LunarDuality @ Mar 13th 2007 2:51PM
"could *NOT* be amazing"
oops. Too much double negating goin' on there.
Supino @ Mar 13th 2007 3:04PM
World of Warcraft:
* I think a MMORPG must be redesigned to work well on a console. I don't think this will show up on the 360. though it would be cool in a way.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic III:
* If BioWare isn't makeing it, it's nothing to get excited about... BioWare has theyr hands full atm.
Duke Nukem Forever:
* I don't think we'll see it on the 360. - I don't think we'll see it *period* :)
Crimson Skies 2:
* That would be ace!! though after listening to the 1up podcast from 2 weeks ago, I didn't get the impression thatit was in development. Maybe in the future, but then we're talking years from now....
Hellgate: London:
* This is the most likely game on the list to appear on the 360. I hope it does - it looks awesome!
*just my thoughts*

Im praying WOW stays away from the 360. There is enough idiots addicted to it on the PC without infecting the 360 users too.
mike @ Mar 13th 2007 3:06PM
I really doubt WoW will ever come to a console. Blizzard has their hands full dealing with it on a PC, and no matter how much money Microsoft is putting on the table, I doubt it's more than they're making via the 8 million subscriber fees.
But KOTOR and Hellgate are pretty likely. And I would really like to see a Crimson Skies 2.
lord hobo @ Mar 13th 2007 3:06PM
I NEED KOTOR 3, once bioware are done with mass effect
KC @ Mar 13th 2007 3:07PM
Links.
Daryl @ Mar 13th 2007 3:12PM
Either company can make KOTOR 3. I'll be happy. Both games were amazing.
Clinton @ Mar 13th 2007 3:17PM
KOTOR 3 and Hellgate would be yummy. They make the next KOTOR look & play similar to mass effect? could be hot.
Hater @ Mar 13th 2007 3:20PM
WOW: No way I'd ever be willing to pay subscription fees on top of Live fees. It's not that great of a game in the long run anyhow. I know this isn't a popular perspective seeing how many drooling tools out there pay for it month to month. But, I'm not impressed. Blizzard keeps messing with everything claiming to fix things, when in fact the whole thing is flawed to begin with. Leave it on the PC.
KOTOR: If they don't castrate it (http://www.team-gizka.org/), like they did to KOTOR2 it might be worthwhile. Obsidian can suck my balls.
DukeNukemForever: This is vaporware. Until it comes out for any platform, they're just blowing hot air. Last time I saw anything that worked, it was a thin-client game running in a browser, since the 360 doesn't have a browser, I doubt the validity of this too.
CrimsonSkies: Was a perfect title for the last generation, there needs to be a lot more done to it to make it a valid title on this generation, but I'd be interested in picking it up.
Hellgate: Fuck "games for winblows". If it weren't for the 360 Microsoft would completely suck. I don't want anything that ties to VISTURD in any way.
Assbestos @ Mar 13th 2007 3:24PM
Not to mention with WOW there would likely be a secondary fee, which Live users generally abhor. Besides, aren't we all sick of WOW by now? I want the next new thang.
Toph @ Mar 13th 2007 3:40PM
I'd love Warcraft on 360 for three reasons: it's not on Playstation, and it might look better on a 360 than on PC because the 360 is a regulated device, whereas PC qualities vary.
Thirdly, I've never played WoW and I'd like to try it.
J.Goodwin @ Mar 13th 2007 3:42PM
Crimson Skies already has a sequel: High Road to Revenge.
Maybe they mean Crimson Skies III.
Hater @ Mar 13th 2007 3:49PM
@J.Goodwin
Yes there was a PC game called Crimson Skies, but this isn't PC fanboy. Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge is the only version that ever showed up on a console. While you are technically correct, most here don't know about the PC version that crashed all the time.
xenocidic @ Mar 13th 2007 4:01PM
crimson skies 2 would be the bomb.
ChewyDogg @ Mar 13th 2007 4:28PM
MMORPG's are dangerous to my marriage. I just got off of WoW when I got my 360 for Christmas. I don't want it to follow me here... or do I?
NATO_Duke @ Mar 13th 2007 4:56PM
6. "I really doubt WoW will ever come to a console. Blizzard has their hands full dealing with it on a PC, and no matter how much money Microsoft is putting on the table, I doubt it's more than they're making via the 8 million subscriber fees."
I dont understand that at all. Why would they not expand their customer base? Customers are too much of a pain to have? Seems getting MS to give cash on top of more fees from users equals a winner for them.
Also, I heard that DukeNukem is being designed for the PS12 in a special pod on Xartak Prime - so I doubt we will see it.
Kritz @ Mar 13th 2007 5:02PM
So, uh. April edition. Yeah.
FAKT: Anything surprising said on the Internet this month, until the 3rd of April (Giving room for timezones), should be treated as a joke.
Meh. I'm going back to beta testing Pimps At Sea.

Yeah, I'm pretty much abandoning every other game, as well as my 5 star feedback rating, the second Halo 3 drops.
I don't get why anyone would want Duke Nukem- I never have. The original game was a kinda fun corny shooter with a guy whose every line was ripped off from a movie (though everyone quotes him like he was being original). But seriously, out of just the running joke vaporware factor, does anyone really give a shit about it?
I'd kill to play Warcraft on the 360, but I just don't see how it's possible. You'd have to play with all xbox players since Vent or TS is out of the question... not to mention you won't being installing any UI mods... I'd love to see it, but that's the least likely game on that list IMHO.
Richard Mitchell @ Mar 13th 2007 7:33PM
Just a comment on all the April Fools speculation: Planet Xbox 360 didn't report this as fact. It's just a list of possible games and speculation about them.
NuAngel @ Mar 13th 2007 7:49PM
I love reading the comments on planetxbox360's own site. The readers are REALLY stupid. They do realize that this article is in the "APRIL (FOOL'S) EDITION" of the magazine, right? lol

KOTOR3 has already been pretty much confirmed as an eventual release. So it's going to happen just who knows when. My guess is it's the next project after Mass Effect.
Here's a question, how was Dead Rising 2 forgotten for this list? It's an obvious one that's more than likely going to happen.
duhJeenyus @ Mar 13th 2007 9:49PM
OXM has nothing better to report about than 5 games they WISH would come to 360?! JFC, they must be feeling the drop in subscriptions more than I thought. Well, if any of you believe that nonsense, go out to your local game store and pick up Guitar Hero II because according to them, it should be out today.
OXM sucks teh munkeez ballz, don't ever report something they published in their half assed mag again.
Mr BoomStick XL @ Mar 14th 2007 11:14AM
As a GameFan this is GREAT news,(oh, I forgot...rumor!!) How could you not be excited for these games?? KOTOR 3 is tops on the list for me!!
Richard @ Mar 14th 2007 1:14PM
Microsoft Flight Simulator X would be awesome! Imagine the achievements & fly with friends on Vista. Oh yes
