MS publishing Project Sylpheed in US?

A recent retail rumor roundup on GameSpot sees a listing for Square Enix's Project Sylpheed on GameStop. While that in itself isn't terribly shocking, the publisher and developer listed is intriguing. According to the GameStop listing, Microsoft Game Studios is the publisher and developer of the US version of Project Sylpheed (although the GameStop listing spells the title Silpheed). The game is listed for a July release with a bargain price of $39.99. Granted, product listings should never be taken as fact, but it would be significant if Microsoft reached a publishing deal with Square-Enix, especially in light of recent events.
Could Square really be cozying up to Microsoft?

Interesting.
Who knew future product listings can spur so much discussion? ;-)

I'm sorry, but wasn't this something the web was drooling about months ago? I thought I heard about this back in December.
Guess I'm smoking crack again. But does this really surprise anyone??? Surely not the savvy readers of xbox360fanboy!

Considering they clearly don't even know who developed the title, I don't know if I could put much stock into that listing at all... At the same time, I wouldn't be surprised. Nintendo publishes all of SE's releases on their systems, for whatever reason.

Ace Combat 6 is NOT multi-platform like Devil May Cry 4 is.
Ace Combat 6 was only announced for the Xbox 360.
When articles say that "Ace Combat is no longer exclusive to Sony" they are referring to the fact that Ace Combat games were only released on Playstation systems in the past.
Now, the Xbox 360 is the system where Ace Combat is going to be played on.

The title is too close to "syphilis" for me to be comfortable investing in.
