360 fanboys am cry: Live is down

Gone since last night, Xbox Live is still down for maintenance. All we can say is that Microsoft better hurry up and finish maintaining, damn it! We've got important people to frag. Major Nelson, paragon of wisdom that he is, has assured us that the maintenance should be fixed by 1400 Pacific Time. After some research, we've discovered that 1400 is code for 2:00PM. In other words, we've got a few hours to go. Stay strong fanboys, stay strong.

That's 2pm PST - in other words, 5pm EST.

I don't know how many times I tried to explain this to people last night - everyone thought the shutdown was coming in 3 minutes, I was trying to explain that it was in 3 hours. (And sadly, these were all 25-35 yr olds playing Vegas, not little kids).

and can you check your downloads...even when not connected to live.. i can't..i want to see if i got all of my Obv. Shivering Isles...before live went down. *I went to sleep on it last night*

Does anyone get a MTU error when trying to connect to Xbox live now... I know its down..but i've never gotten this error before...when its been down for maintaince...

I think we deserve an update on what's going on(talkin to you Microsoft), we pay for this service and atleast should know what they are doing. If they had a local office I'd grab my torch and pitchfork and rally a mob as I do when my internet cuts out. Highspeed internet is to expensive for what little we get, Xbox Live should bare no exceptions to this.

What the h**! I wanted to start the download of Shivering Isle before going to bed, but that doesn't look like it's going to happen!

Yeah, I'll just say that yes it is still down and if you perform the live test you will recieve an MTU error which is an odd thing to appear considering that would be an issue with your router most of the time if not your provider itself.
