Bungie profiles Halo 3 warthog, secret code?
Bungie has posted a new vehicle profile from Halo 3, and today it is none other than our beloved (wort-wort) Warthog. While we don't learn much more about the vehicle than we already know, there is mention of different configurations of the 'Hog. One configuration mentioned ditches the gun in favor of four extra passenger seats. Also mentioned is that the mounted guns have internal batteries, enabling them to be operated even when detached from the Warthog. Granted, these configurations may not be in the game at all, but it's fun to speculate. Speaking of speculation, Bungie has included a new 360 degree screen shot, allowing users to take a virtual tour of the Warthog. What's interesting is that there appears to be a hidden code broken up throughout the screen shot. Rotating the 'Hog causes different pieces of the code to appear. It reads:"X.XX.713> ghost.713/non-auth/activity ongoing"
What does it mean? Is this the beginning of ILoveBees redux? Does it have something to do with the Spartan-III project? We have no idea. From what we can tell, it's not a URL. That's where you come in. Go forth and decipher the code fanboys.

Looks like something to enter in the developer console to me (although the very beginning resembles an IP address with only the last three numbers showing). Has anyone done any Halo modding on the PC? Maybe they will know what it's hinting at, if anything.

x.xx.713 looks like a possible date separator? 7.13? Could we see something that early? Maybe the beta won't be starting until then :( or it could be a random version number or something.....

I was on the whole release date/IP address thing as well.
713 is outside any usable range...the X's could represent roman numerals?
Phone number? coordinates? who knows!

@ Kinetic..I was thinking the saqme but July 13th would be too late for the beta. Bungie have stated that it is in spring...whether the beginning, middle or end we don't know...but spring is when its coming out.

713 is also the area code of Houston Texas... So could have something to do with where the Warthog was made...

I agree with speculation concerning the Spartan III connection. I wonder if it's another Cortana Diaries, except coming from the remaining team within the sphere. Pure guess; I have no idea how/if/why they would play that into the release.

It may just be me, but I also see the word "Ping" when I look at that composite shot of all the messages. Taking it like that, x.xx.713> could be an IRC nick that is attempting to be ghosted (without authorization)
Further putting on my investigative hat, 713 could refer to verse 7:13 which is by mat (and there so happens to be a mat on the Bungie staff) I'll give it some more though, until Xbox Live comes back up anyway. Oh and 7:13 is transcribed below. It could apply to Halo I guess.

713, it cud b 7+1+3=11 (november)
or maybe it cud be the 13th of the 7th(bungies favorite number) for when the 3d model of the ghost is released? i dunno, but bungie definately knows how to get people talking :)
