Crackdown DLC Screenshot

One of the developers at Real Time Worlds released a screenshot of some downloadable content for Crackdown. The image showcases four buggies being driven down a dirt track. The models on the vehicle look nice, though the red color scheme would suggest that they are unfortunately not Agency vehicles, and won't morph based on your character's Driving skill level. Still, it looks like taking one for a spin would be a lot of fun.
The fact there is four on screen could be interpreted as adding 2 more players to co-op. Or perhaps it will be a separate mode, like Time Trials, and you'll select courses with the ability to have 4 players. We'll have to wait and see, but our interest is piqued, what about you?

Whew, this is my game, four people at once, crazy.
Sarpz @ Apr 25th 2007 6:26PM
I beg to differ.
Just looking at the screen shot you can see that all the cars have a different colour scheme and that the majority of the red is the shock absorbers.
I think that these cars will morph depending on you rating.

another thing i love about the 360, DLC
they can keep adding to this game as long as they want. and i bloody love it
Ninegauger @ Apr 25th 2007 6:40PM
Wow, that was the first thing that came to mind when I was done with Crackdown "It was pretty good but it needed buggies".
The game was about killing, hopefully all the new Achievements aren't buggy achievements because that would be lame.
Darrien Woomer @ Apr 25th 2007 6:44PM
Well they may not be Agency vehicles but there is a Agency officer in the buggy being crushed in the HD version of the pic. Also the buggies have chain guns on them. Does this mean we will have multiplayer races then.

I just want me 100 gamerpoints.
Daryl @ Apr 25th 2007 8:19PM
I hope the last 100 achievement points don't have anything to do with races. We already have enough of those. I haven't even completed the car races.

actually it looks like there are 5 buggies with 2 in the top right and the 3 right up front . . . what does that mean?
chukc @ Apr 25th 2007 10:14PM
chekc out the high resolution one to see it first hand

I was hoping for a Pursuit or Agent Hunt mode, where three agents scour the city looking for one agent trying to evade them. They would get clues on where to find them and the agency's vehicles, but beyond that, it's up to them to bring him down. It would make for some amazing moments and stories back at the garage. I'm still crossing my fingers on that one.
RTW, contact me and I'll sign those rights over to you right away. It's a gold mine I swear!

Just give me some damn single-console co-op please! I want to just play with my roomates without having to buy a SECOND 360 just to play it
Boff @ Apr 26th 2007 4:48AM
As long as it's fun/interesting then I'm looking forward to it.
Doesn't look like we'll be getting any new areas to explore then, which is what I was hoping for.
BowserUSC @ Apr 26th 2007 5:54AM
#8 I only see 4 vehicles, theres only one in the top right.
Sparkstalker @ Apr 26th 2007 9:13AM
Actually, it looks like #8 is correct - zooming in on the image, there looks to be two antennas - which means two buggies.
Speaking of which, dune buggies with guns? Freaking awesome. I was starting to lose hope on seeing the Crackdown DLC anytime soon. But if this is just a sample of it, it'll be worth the wait...
intRvenous @ Apr 26th 2007 11:27AM
A couple observations:
1. There are guns mounted to the top of each buggie, suggesting an Agency vehicle.
2. The rear spoiler fins are a different color on each buggies, suggesting some sort of online "rally" race mode. Freakin' awesome... LOOOOOVE THE CRACKDOWN!
Rachel.rich @ Apr 26th 2007 1:12PM
Does it get any better than dunebuggies with guns? Can we get verification on this?
mattclarkie @ Apr 26th 2007 1:11PM
Couple of things to add. Will these make the Alleys of the Den race easy. They look smaller than the SUV, but better at climbing things than the SuperCar. What I really want is a motorbike, good for weaving through traffic and Alleys.
I think they should add a typical MP to the game. 4 or more players trying to kill as many others as possible on 1 island. Supply Points could be spawns, and the ability to climb buildings would add a new strategy to the game. The game seems perfectly suited to that type of gameplay.
