Crackdown DLC resetting progress?

If you've been playing Crackdown co-op lately, you may have run into a serious problem. Forum goers (and X3F reader, DualCORE1) have discovered a major issue with the new Crackdown downloadable content. It seems that under the right conditions, the DLC can cause your progress to be reset. In other words, remember all those agility orbs you've collected? Gone. Start over. The issue seems to occur when players join co-op games and then return to single-player. Agent G, a Real Time Worlds employee has made it clear that Real Time Worlds is aware of the issue and is working on it. In the meantime, you might want to stay away from co-op.

Thanks for the info. I will stay away until my X3F says it's clear.
FTW!

After a co-op game on "Keys to the City" mode, just reboot your 360 and you should be fine. I've been on 5+ co-op games and used this method and I still have my profile.
!!DO NOT ENTER SOLO AFTER PLAYING IN "Cheats" CO-OP!!

Really? I played Keys to the City mode then went back to single player just fine...maybe it's not necessarily an issue with everyone?

well i can tell you one thing, there's no more random gangs in the single player, either its no gangs or you have to start the story over. lame.

I told one of my friend to backup his save on a memory stick before playing the game. He did , we played a coop and when he went back to a single player game all his attributes were resetted. I had no problem, maybe because I went to the Dashboard before starting a Single player game again.
Apparently, the issue only occurs if you play Coop games. And, apparently, there's a workaround :

Can someone tell me where that screenshot is from in the game because I think that is the penultimate Agility orb I need and I don't recognise where that is.
Looks Volk, and by the oil refinery but I can't remember being at or seeing that shed thing.
Also if you reset the gangs can you still turn them back off. Or is it the same as restarting the game.

@ Nieker,
I second that
