Puzzle Fighter priced the same on 360 and PS3
Speaking to Gamasutra, Christian Svensson, Sr. Director of Strategic Planning & Research for Capcom, noted that Capcom will release Puzzle Fighter II on Xbox Live Arcade and the Playstation Network (PSN) for the same price. According to Svensson, "We're offering the same value as far as the type of content, so it only stands to reason. If the timing's the same, and if the content is the same, pricing should probably be the same." Puzzle Fighter II is notable as one of the first games to debut on both Xbox Live Arcade and PSN, which Svensson notes was fairly difficult to coordinate, but simply part of Capcom's strategy. Svensson notes, "It just comes down to platform strategy in general. If you're going to spend money to make content, it only makes sense to try and put it in front of as many people as possible." Svensson does admit, however, that console exclusive downloads are "possible," but that Capcom as a whole is moving towards a mutli-platform approach.
The question is, now that we know the price will be the same, what will that price actually be?

Despite the extra work on it, I'm hoping 400 points. I mean, this game has appeared on a few platforms already... I can't see it being worth more. Then again, Capcom already charged 800 points for Street Fighter II on XBLA.

Now, all they need is U.N. Squadron for XBLA and we'll be all set.

Anybody know a good place to get a cheap 360 controller? I held out this long because there wasn't any local multi on any 360 games my wife liked (actually, the only game I have that fits that description at all now is Viva Pinata...), but she *loves* Puzzle Fighter. Now I need to get her a gamepad...

Here is an idea Capcom.....How about giving us the sega cd version of Final Fight in the arcade? It had better options and a way better soundtrack than the arcade. If a crappy offline snes version of final fight gets on the Wii then how about making some real money brining the real deal to the 360?
Oh yea and don't 4-get these games as well..
Alien Vs Preditor,Forgotten Worlds,Knights Of The Round and Captain Commando..All online ofcoarse.

Capcom is just seeing which console they can make the most money on with digital games. While the answer is a no-brainer, they apparently still wanna confirm the obvious.
After this game releases lets C if a dual release happens again.
