Up close and personal with the Legendary helmet

Still on the fence about which Halo 3 edition you should get and wish you could take a closer look at the Legendary Edition helmet to see if it's worth the money? Well, you're in luck, because Destroyer over at the Spanish Overpal forums posted some of the best Halo 3 Legendary Edition helmet shots we've seen yet. The pictures showcase every angle of the helmet, including the inside, the box, the serial number on the back, its base, and even the cloth bag the helmet comes in. And after viewing these photos do you think the Legendary Edition is worth the extra cash if a person just wanted the Spartan helmet container?

not worth the money at all. Its a piece of plastic. I dont care if it was only $1 more then the standard edition, I still wouldent waste my dollar on it.

I love halo as much as the next guy, but I love the multiplayer game and to a lesser extent the single player. Its good ole regular edition for me.

I pre-ordered it the instant it became available. Actually a bit worried that the message on the site said they would stop pre-orders when they sold their allocation yet they are still selling them. Either they are making loads or the site is full of loads of ****

I disagree..this is a pop culture trophy of the times in gaming..and I can't wait to own mine!

This thing is going on my bookshelf, gaming shelf...something where I can show it off as soon as I get it :)

It's a bragging right trophy to me, saying 'Yes, I chose the winning console', not simply about Halo 3.

It's at home so it's less fanboy than wearing an obvious T-shirt might be, and it's absolutely something I'm excited to show off:)

I'm torn.. one one hand, it's the entertainment event of the year, something that we may never see on this scale again, having that sitting on the bookshelf would be a testament to what Halo has accomplished.

On the other hand it's a piece of plastic that cost more than another full game.

Well Im not paying the insane amount of cash they want 4 this cheap piece of plastic that was most likly put together in some sweat factory in Mexico by a bunch of guys making 3 peso's an hour. Make it Die cast and I might think twice about my girl friend leaving me for buiying it because she realizes that Im a total child and will never grow up.

I am torn as well, knowing this will be the last Halo ever and that the series deserves the extra $$ for the collectors item of the decade. Not to mention If the price skyrockets, Ebay FTW.

But I find it hard to part with $60-$70 EXTRA dollars for a plastic helmet when it could be put towards GTA or even the Halo 3 Zune or some clothes.

glad i preordered, it looks a lot cooler than i thought it would ... yeah, 120 is high for a game, but its not as bad as $350 for a 3 week beta. 2 or 3 invites went for 350 on ebay. alot sold at about 100, I sold my extra invite for 96.

yeah yeah yeah call me a scalper, its not like selling generators to hurricane victims for 10 grand ... supply and demand. the customer was quite happy with his purchase.

Um, Im gonna have to go along with the very few ppl on here who think this is AWESOME.

Honestly, im pretty sure, most of you guys didnt hesitate to drop down $400 bucks for a 360 or even worse $600 bucks for a PS3, which still has no great 'killer' games. Now from what ive been hearing from these comments, ive heard a lot of "Its not worth that high of a Price", "Its just a piece of plastic", "Who would want it if you cant wear it", retarded stuff like that, and heres my answers.

Honestly, If you can pay 400 bucks for a video game system that is releasing the biggest game of them all and the trilogy that made what Xbox, Microsoft, and Bungie are today, and you think that their Ultimate or 'Legendary' edition is not worth it, or too pricey, than you do not deserve to be a Halo or even a Xbox Fan. Another thing, it is not entirely made of plastic. If it was all made of plastic, it wouldnt shine or look that nice. To me, and im probably wrong, but it almost looks like a metallic, or like a composite/fiberglass piece of collectible, kind of like the composite they use to make hockey sticks and baseball bats. And thirdly, If you really think that you should be able to wear this, then you must want to get killed pretty fast. Anyone outta their right mind wouldnt even think about wearing, even if it was wearable, which would be cool, but c'mon, if this was seriously wearable, I can guarantee you that if you go to your local mall, and wear that around ur head, you would have either gotten the crap beat out of, or shot in the head(esp. if ur in New York).

Really, I can see why some ppl would say this is a rip-off, $140(im in Canada), is a lot of money for a game, but if you look at how Halo has changed the video gaming industry, made media attention, gaming stories, front page magainzes, and sales records, just to name a few, all in the last 6 years and exculsively for Xbox and 360, and you guys are telling me that the final Halo game, made by Bungie(cause Halo Wars isnt), and will prolly be the final Halo game for a while now, now that the story arc will have finished, and the fight will be over, (until the guys at Bungie create some new fight or problem in the ending of Halo 3, leading on to a Halo 4, hmmm......), than this 'Legendary' Edition has got to be the item of the year for gaming fans and halo fans. Just to say, Ive got a piece of history from the trilogy that made million and million of people believe in games.

JUST THINK ABOUT IT!!!!!
