Connect360 patches video problems
Nullriver Software just brought their Mac-friendly Connect360 up to version 3.1, which fixes some issues had with streaming video after the (Northern Hemispherical) Spring Update. According to Alex Lovett of Nullriver, there was a rounding error on a floating point number that was inadvertently causing the wrong data to be output at random intervals. Either way, it's been addressed in the update and any of you who have been having issues with video streaming should have smooth sailing. It stutters and can't keep the sound and video in sync. I tried it with an HD windows media file using Flip for Mac. Maybe it was too much for the app to stream.

i can't get connect 360 to work regardless...maybe microsoft will add mac support soon…i won't hold my breath

had some problems streaming video podcasts and quicktime mov when they'd just stop or freeze up my 360. looking forward to seeing if this update fixes those issues.

Its working for me.... Large files stutter... My files are around 2-3 gigs 2500 kbs avg. Smaller files work good though... 200 mbs at 1000 kbs. I was kinda hoping they could find a way to store some buffer information on the xbox hd while the vid plays...

It cannot play .avi because the 360 doesn't support the playing of .avi files. Only mp4 and h.264 (and .wmv). My connect360 works great with my mac and xbox, and all is running smoothly. Download FFMPEGX for the Mac. It allows you to convert almost any video file format to any other (including the .mp4 or h.264).

you can download Isquint for free and use it to convert your movies for you and its pretty fast also. I was having a issue where alot of my mp4 files couldnt be read on the 360 even though I've converted them all the same way with isquint.

I have a first generation Mac Mini, and I'm having much greater success with Connect 360 v3.1 than I did with v3.0. I'm running a wired 10/100 ethernet connection through a Linksys router from the Mac Mini to the Xbox 360, and I have no problems at all viewing H.264 encoded videos at full DVD resolution encoded at 700 kpbs. I used HandBrake for the encoding. The combination of the Mac Mini, Connect360, and HandBrake works beautifully. I only wish it were that simple to get high quality videos encoded and served through Windows.

Can anyone tell me how to get my h.264 .mov movies files (QuickTime format) to work with connect 360

This took me bloody ages to figure out. If your XBOX dosen't pick up you have video on your mac you might need to update the firmware

You can do it on XBOX live or download it and transfer using a USB stick
