Halo 3 armor types and achievements discovered
The Halo 3 beta code digging continues as the 7th Columnist has uncovered information on Halo 3's achievements and more customizable armor options for multiplayer. In the Halo 3 beta code there are over 40 references to Halo 3's achievements including everything from grenade sticking in multiplayer to advancement in Halo 3's campaign. Speaking of campaign, mission based achievements include a part of the mission's name which gives us a hint to how the campaign will progress. Flood making an appearance in mission five anyone? Complete list of achievement text pulled from the beta code is posted after the break.Also, newly discovered in the beta code is confirmation of an Elite model and references to armor customization in multiplayer. It looks like there will be different styles of armor to customize your Spartan or Elite with which will allow for greater personalization. The Spartan's armor types include default Mjolnir, Cobra, Intruder, Ninja and Regulator with the Elite model having default, Predator and Raptor. And since the helmet, shoulder pads and body are all listed as separate tags in the code, it may be possible to mix and match the various armor styles.

With most of the achievements detailed and more information on character customization in Halo 3, we can't help but be a little excited yet bummed. Excited because ALL Halo 3 news is exciting, but bummed because we love to be surprised either when Bungie announces it or when we pop in the game on launch day. Oh well. We'll just have to put the blame (or praise) on Bungie, because it's their beta code that they put out there and if they didn't expect fanboys to rip it apart, well then they're foolish

Anyone notice that Bungie has done *NOTHING* to stop this. They either are cool with it or this is all fake filler they've added to the beta to throw fans off.

well what can they do ban their site i dobt that. And i dont think they would tell us this is false or true because maby somthings are false and some are true. Also maby they like the leaks beacuse they dont have to do anything and it stimulates hype.

The achievements are horrible, I thought bungie said they was doing something original with achievements (IGN interview). The unoriginal and won't take long to get, people will be playing this for months.
I can only prey this is not making it's way to the final game.

Does it really matter what they find? I happy just to wait until the game comes out and then find out what the achievements are then.
I'm like that with the beta test - I don't expect it all to be there - Bungie are just testing some maps and making sure that the multi player side works fine before they release the game.. We don't won't a repeat of the crackdown situation again, do we?

Impatient children on the internet like to speculate too much and end up disappointing themselves in the end.
I'm happy to wait till the official release and see what they have for us. Since this is a x360 game, anything missing can be added in the future.
Adulthood bring the benefit of better understanding beyond face value.

I don't think they're real, because they put some missions we kinda already played in H2, like outskirts or high charity. I doubt Bungie wants to repeat those parts of the campaign again.

the thing that seems to suck is that there are only acheivements for 9 different levels.... that bites. hopefully they will be long! i always end up playing the halo campaign at least as much as i do the multi... since i play it co-op with friends at the beach house, and 56k+multiplayer dont work too well

I would like to see new armor. I will not get to excited though. I want to wait until the main release in september. Until then i am good just guessing what will be in the main game. Wondering is a big part of being surprised and i like that.
