New SFII HD Remix sprite revealed, it's Ken!

The image you see above, ladies and gents, is a sprite from the upcoming Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix for Xbox Live Arcade. In fact, it's actually a little smaller than it should be thanks to our formatting. Now, we've seen a sprite from (deep breath) SFIITHDR before, but this is the first official image released by Capcom. As Capcom's Brian Dunn puts it, "this is what it will look like (if you paused the game and took out the background)." Damn. If you like what you see, then you're in luck, as Capcom will soon be opening a blog that will feature new art, news, and other goodies about their upcoming downloadable games. For those of you that have forgotten, those games include SFIITHDR and Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix (easily abbreviated SPFIITHDR), Rocketman: Axis of Evil (RAoE) and Talisman (T).
If Capcom's other downloadable games are going to look this good, you can count us excited.
[Thanks, Jared]

I've never been this happy to see 2D. Wow. I'm gonna lose a lot of fights looking at the graphics. I hope it lags online so that I can see it in slo-mo. j/k

Now if they can only do something about the crap-tastic controllers that make fighting games all but impossible.
Seriously, I love the 360 controllers. They are the most comfortable controllers I've ever held. EXCEPT - they stink for fighting games. The D-Pad just can't cut it.

Scott,
the Hori Dead or Alive 4 arcade stick is top-notch for fighting games on the 360... unfortunately it was a limited mfg run, and long out of print, they'll set you back $100+ on ebay... but if you're serious about fighting games, it's worth it.

Actually I'm now used to the 360 D-pad. There are a lot of people that play SF2HF that have no problems pulling off their moves 99% of the times. It's ridiculous to think everyone has a Hori arcade controller.
It does take some time to get the hang of it but after you are warmed up the moves just flow.

If this is the way the characters are gonna look, I'd say it actually looks better than Street Fighter 3 3rd Strike which in most peoples book is the best looking 2d fighter ever made. But it will come down to animation. It's gotta be smooth and really fluid Capcom.
