Penny Arcade's latest comic takes a rather
humorous look at
Shadowrun's races. In particular, the Troll, and the potential hazards that the RNA Corporation has to take into account when employing such a metahuman. In Tycho's post, he gives his
take on the game's party system and gameplay and continues to support and recommend the title in spite of
mediocre reviews. Either way, he reminds us that the demo is coming out
tomorrow. Speaking of, are any of you still on the fence going to download the demo and give it a shot? We know that some of us here and Fanboy Towers made promises in regards to giving the demo the attention it deserves.

I am still waiting for the demo before I decide. Actually I had a $50 gift card collecting dust and was going to use it on Shadowrun. The thinking was that I would only be paying $10 on it. Target however was out of stock when I got there. I'm still having issues with the next-gen price on a game with no single player.
At that cost I think I would rage if I had to pay for maps at a later time. And for the record, I'm pretty cool about buying content from Marketplace (GH2 being the exception).

I'm clueless about this game, I don't understand anything about it and the videos on marketplace were the dumbest things I'd ever seen. I wish they'd drop a demo of it.

The game is one of the best FPS's I've played on a console.
For what it's worth I think Shadowrun is the best new FPS to hit the 360 since Halo.
Once I got my retail copy of Shadowrun, I haven't played the Halo 3 beta since.

I picked it up on release & haven't put it down since, gives a fresh breath of life into the fps genre. Had some really amazing games using the magic & weapons!!!!!!!!

@ 4.
Except that Halo hasn't "hit" the 360 yet... it will in September.

I feel the same way about it, but I've been working on my Crackdown achievements (yay for orb #500)
I was off yesterday and sadly there were not really any games going on during the day. That is probably its only bad point. Guess I could have played some bots, but I wanted to play some humans

I can't tell if you're acting stupid, or if you're really that out of the loop.
Either way, your post generates massive lulz.

David, stop drooling on this game. It's not THAT cool. And yes, I was on the Beta. A US$60 game with only MP and with crappy graphics deserves less than 7/10 everywhere.
It's not that SR is a bad game, is that is half-unfinished-unpolished-of-a-game.
If it was sold for US$20~US$30 it would deserve to be rated over 8.
And yes, I will download the demo. It's free, not US$60 for it, right? So in that case is a worthy purchase.
Still angry at you for drooling over the craptastic burnout and not even giving a classic like Forza 2 a try. LOL.

shadowrun rocks...definately worth a rent or download the demo.

Wait, did I just see Penny Arcade and "hilarious" in the same sentence?
