The Darkness demo gets held back

We just received a tip that The Darkness demo has hit an unforeseen road block and may not make it to the Marketplace before the game ships later this month. Being a subscriber to The Darkness' MySpace group, Ben Furneaux says that he received a subscribers only bulletin message from Lord Sonatine stating that the demo has been delayed, but will release as soon as possible. Again, we aren't cool enough to be subscribers to The Darkness' official MySpace page, so we didn't get the message to confirm its contents. But you can take Ben's word for it and check out the bulletin message he received, posted after the break. The Darkness can be stopped ... by Microsoft's certification team.

Brothers,
As some of you might already know the demo is not yet out although I have previously given information that it would be. The wicked embodiment of Light and Order, the Angelus, must be corrupting the Darkness somehow because the demo is not ready. I can guarantee there will be a demo. I cannot guarantee that it will come before the game releases. Maybe a sacrifice of some sort will provide the impetus needed to birth a demonstration of The Darkness...

Does this really surprise anyone? How many times has this happened before? Prey, Forza, now Darkness. Heh. I'm not surprised in the least.

This is usually an indicater for me that the game isn't going to be good or meet expectations. They hold the demo back so people will buy on hype and then it's too late. Red flag for me and I will not be buying this now until I do see that demo or get some reviews.. (BS meter on high alert!)

I agree, this always happens when games suck. They won't release the demo until the day before or the day that the game comes out, then the game gets 3.5/10 from every reviewer in the country except IGN which mysteriously gives it a 7.5.

I have been thinking that they should just make some demos for instance The Dakrness on disc which you can get at local video game stores.

You guys are retarded arnt you.The demo was delayed because it was not FINISH YET i know that they did not want to waste there time to rush a demo out when they can polish the game more and offical xbox magazine aready gave it a 9 out of 10 and anouther thing they said they was going to come out with a gears of war demo and never did and was the best game for the 360 you guys just need to think a little bit more they would rather polish up the game then worry about a demo WHICH would be a little bit diffrent to the real game!!!
