Previously, we've gushed about the game's
visuals and fell head over heals for the
trailer. And now we have a release month for when we can expect more. Atari just
announced that
Alone in the Dark 5 will release on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC sometime this November (with its buddy
Assassin's Creed). If you aren't familiar,
Alone in the Dark is set in present day New York where you head off to investigate paranormal activities relating to the afterlife in a very
Resident Evil kind of way. Typical horror game? Possibly, but did we mention the graphics this game offers? Yeah, we're in graphical love and will definitely be checking out
Alone in the Dark 5 this November. Will you?

Ok this is getting somewhat ridiculous.... I had no idea this game was even due out this year. Actually, i had forgotten about it. Sept - Nov is going to be ridiculous. Thank god I just got a raise.

I thought it wasn't going to have the 5 - just "Alone in the Dark", since it's a series reboot.

Uwe Boll must be licking his lips for movie rights.

If I remember this correctly, they were plannig to do this in an "episodic" manner" -- each chapter takes an hour, and they had mentioned releasing the episodes one-at-a-time. Any word on whether this is the whole game at one pop, or are they distributing this "Half-Life" style?

The game itself is episodic, as in a series of episodes. It is not being sold episode by episode.
