Halo 3 ARG "Iris" update and it's getting good
Our once nameless Halo 3 ARG has flowered into a beautiful "Iris". Yup, that's the official name attached to our ARG per a Microsoft spokesperson who spoke with Eurogamer."'Iris' is a spiral campaign designed to take gamers on an incredible journey through the Halo Universe. Led by an 'unknown' hand, users will discover bits of previously unknown information about the Halos, the Flood, the Forerunners, and the true origins behind the Halo trilogy."
Sounds fun doesn't it? That description alone makes us want to play and learn more. So ... that's about it for ARG news. Wait, you want to know more? You want the dish on what has been happening with AdjuntantReflex and SOTA? Well, we're push-over bloggers and you sound sincere enough. Complete recap of what has happened in the Iris ARG (since our last update) is posted after the break. Enjoy.
Since our last update neither the story or what players' exact purpose has been detailed, but exciting developments have occured. Over the weekend numerous rallies were held around the world by the Society of the Ancients including Times Square, Boston and London. Fliers were handed out and ARG players are really acknowledging the importance of the SOTA. Sunday came and the leaked Circuit City ad did indeed display the Halo 3 comic URL as expected. Soon after, AdjutantReflex posted on Bungie.net stating that it is being bothered and that there is another force stronger and less helpful present. The transmission log countdown text has now changed, making us believe that AdjuntantReflex is losing control and possibly getting hacked by the other force. Now it seems that we have to wait for the transmission log countdown to expire on the 21st and see what happens then. Yes sir, these ARGs are all about waiting.
Complete recap of daily events is available over at thebruce's Iris wiki with minute by minute discussion happening over at the unfiction forums. It's still semi-pregame, but things are getting good ... real good.
[Thanks, to everyone who sent this in]

I don't like how they're openly admitting that this is just a game and how clearly associated with Halo 3 it is. The beauty of ILoveBees was that they never admitted it was a game and that the connections to the Halo universe weren't so obvious.
I mean, honestly, they used the Halo 3 typeface and color scheme. That kind of stuff totally ruins the illusion for me.
Whoever's managing this doesn't possess the elegance of 4orty2wo

Yea. Its prolly only working for him, cause he kept the browser for the Transmission Log open ever since when. But for ppl who didn't have the browser open all day on it, the time stopped for some reason, and there is no more of that weird like "fatal error/37% complete" or random stuff like that.

In addition to my above post:
on http://www.societyoftheancients.com/ has anyone checked the "links" page? I was killing some time and dug into all this stuff. I use stuff because I question the reality of the sites. Does anyone know if those sites are all legit?
