360 gets Scene-It, new simple controller
While many X3F readers wail at the thought of the Xbox 360 receiving more casual, Wii-inspired games, there can be no doubt that there is a ton of money to be made in the casual market. This fact has been made abundantly clear by the success of the Wii and DS. Microsoft evidently has taken notice, and announced during its E3 press conference that an Xbox 360 version of the movie trivia game, Scene-It is in the works. In addition to featuring new interactive features, more puzzles, clips, and questions, the Xbox 360 version will also include a new controller. The controller design is (shockingly) very, very simple. It resembles a buzzer with a large colored button at the top and the four standard 360 buttons aligned vertically underneath. The concept, obviously, is that a player would "buzz in" by pressing the large button and then select and answer with A, B, X, or Y. Also revealed, the game will include four of these controllers while maintaining the standard retail price of most 360 titles.Whether or not these unique controllers will be utilized outside of Scene-It remains to be, um, seen.

So basically the controllers will be copies of the controllers used on the Buzz Quiz on the PS2 ?

My first impression when watching the stream is that Microsoft just copied the buzz control.

So you read everything but the last sentence?
"Also revealed, the game will include four of these controllers while maintaining the standard retail price of most 360 titles."

Awesome news! And the fact that this is exclusive to the 360, I'm sure fans of the game will be incline to buy the 360 to play this on. I'm not saying they will 100% but it will give them more reason to choose the 360 over the POS3 or the Wii.

This looks really cool. Already being a fan of the series and the fact that the 4 controllers come with it just sweetens the deal.

Any chance we could see a Jeopardy game come to the arcade with the use of the buzzer?

Those controllers would be perfect for playing of You Don't Know Jack!

Guys,
makes you wonder who is copying who. the big boys may be "borrowing" from the litte guys.
I think you should check out something that has been around for a couple of years, and is very ingenious and simple and ahead of its time. Scene it, sheme it, this is the real thing. Check it out at www.playgamewave.com
This thing is awesome a lot of fun. Very intelligent trivia, card games, puzzle games, word games. These guys are slick! It is called the GameWAve and this hot Canadian company makes it. I got one on their website and we love it. Hanging out, playing and trashtalking each other. My brother, a xbox nut, thinks this is the cats ass, and he should know. Check this thing out, its really fun and reasonably priced, (cheap, bang for the buck, rates a 10)
