No demo planned for Assassin's Creed
More fresh news from E3, Joystiq learned during their hands-on (don't worry, ours is coming) that Ubisoft has "no plans" to release a demo for Assassin's Creed. If you've been sitting on the fence about this title, it looks like it's time to put it in the ol' rental queue. We wouldn't worry too much though. So far, all signs point to "Yes."

I wounder if they don't think its ready. I noticed a few "bugs" at E3, like a guy he had killed floating in mid air. Nothing to big, but Ubisoft is known for quality.
Either way, I'm still getting the game.

Well I was hoping that they'd get a demo out since E3, but i like these kind of games, you choose what you do and how you do it and everything. I like the freedom, so I'm gonna get the game still.

I'm buying it for sure. Don't need to demo it or rent it!

Demo would probably be nice, but i'll buy it regardless...

Not buying it! After that horrible demo of the game at E3 I can see why they don't want anyone to have a demo of it. Bodies floating in mid-air, horrible AI and the fact that every other person in the crowd is a clone.. I had high hopes for this game but the demo they played was disappointing. How can you jump from a roof into a crowded market and not one person become alarmed?? Isn't that the whole point of the game is sneaky stealth, well this will be easy if the AI is def and blind. And the sword fights look straight out of Pirates of the Caribbean where they line up one by one to attack and then when you hit them once they stand there waiting to be killed. Ubisoft you are making waaay to much garbage lately..

OK as shown from MS presentation last night with Assassin's Creed is that it still needs work and if they release a Demo it just wouldn't serve a pupose. They still have fine tuning to do with it and don't really have time to develope a demo when they still have to finish the game. They may release a Demo after the games has been out but I would rather have them work on the final game.

You can't just make a demo build from the game and chop parts of the game out or lock that content. They have to build a separate build, gut the parts of the game they don't want to show or give access to, and then rebuild the game so that it will work with those missing pieces.
From the G4TV interview with the producer, they are just finishing the game and entering debugging mode. They probably weren't ready to even show a demo, but had to because it's E3 and they couldn't miss getting the coverage. I wouldn't worry. As buggy as games like GOW are in their current form, you wouldn't have wanted to see it last summer either.

Cuz I tore you up a few posts back for your post about "KILzun too SUCKS Halo teh oWnZ Uz DieS SoNy DIEZ!!!!!"???
I mean when you post in broken English in blind loyalty to a so so game, don't be shocked when someone gives you a hard time ;)
If your talking about this post, I just said I noticed a bug or two, and Ubisoft prob wouldn't release a buggy demo.
