Bungie's music man to the stars Marty O'Donnell decided to offer fans a free music download straight from E3, into lukems' inbox and landing onto Bungie.net. So, click your way over to Bungie.net for the complete music track from the lovely and very satisfying Halo 3 E3 campaign trailer. We've seriously been listening and looping this track all morning and are currently on our sixth helping of Halo 3 musical bliss. Yup ... it's butta.[Thanks, DjDATZ]

I've had this song on repeat on my MP3 player at work for the past hour and a half...there are still parts in the song when every time it makes my hair stand on end.

have you guys looked at the file properties? i was looking because i was curious to see if i'd have to fat finger in ID3 tags. but it does have info.
but the reason why i bring this up is because the "Comments" section of the file has some strange data:
" 00000C25 00000309 0000B0C4 000030B7 00018DE0 00018DE0 00008A2A 00008508 00018CC0 00018EB8"
i haven't really been into the current ARG but maybe it means something to the ARG folk?

Anyone who's been reading the comments knows how much I love Halo... But I gotta say...
That trailer did NOT impress me...
I'm speechless... I just don't know what to say... I haven't been this dissappointed since the ending of HALO 2...
The music is phenomenal though, Marty O'Donnell is an amazing composer and should start scoring more films...
If you guys want to see a trailer or "short film" that will give you the chills(if you haven't already seen it) Go to your E3 coverage and Download the "HALO: Arms Race". Director of the upcoming Halo Films Neil Blomkamp created this real life short film based on weapon and vehicle production for the UNSC...
I almost went into a coma when I saw this trailer...

Right after the 360's line up of epicly insane games launches and Sony ends up having to give their PS3's away just to stay in the market !!

Name me one game PS3 will have that 360 WON'T that can lay a finger on...
Fable 2, MASS EFFECT (GOOD GOD), Gears of War, Halo 3, Bio Shock... I could go on and on...
And I'm not even mentioning the fact that the games that ARE on both systems have ALWAYS and STILL look better on the 360... GTA IV, Assassins Creed, I bet you even MGS 4 will look better !!! I'd put money on it !!

The best thing Sony offered was Echochrome. I'd like to play that..but it's terribly obvious that Xbox has the best lineup for this year, hands down.

I just wonder how many of us Xbox fans go over to the PS3 sites and ridicule them...I can't assume too many, because why would we take time out to kick a dead horse?
Like I said, Echochrome looks like fun (that lineart, M.C. Escher-like Sony Marketplace game), but that's about it. When they showed WipeOut HD, at first I was excited but then I realized it was WipeOut XL in HD. Been there, done that..like ten years ago. Bleh.

Thanks Sony Ownz. Had you not told me Halo was dead, I would have still been oblivious to it.
Before when Killzone was going to "KILL, MURDER AND MERC" Halo 2, it flopped, badly scoring a 70/100 on metacritic. (http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/ps2/killzone?q=Killzone) While our "SHITTY" Halo 2 that was supposedly going to get "KILLED" scored an amazing 95/100. (http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/xbx/halo2?q=Halo%202)
You draw your own conclusions.

Fontez I know Sony Ownz is a idiot, hes on ps3fanboy with his real name, and we can't stand him there either.
But on a side note from that post, some time if you get a chance, wiki or google about the cell/rsx, and pretty much the PS3hardware, and check out some blogs from devs in regards to the issues they have had with it, and why ports didn't do as well.
Most of the issues on the PS3 are that devs make the game for the 360, which is alot like a PC, and then port it with little understanding of the PS3's hardware.
But to sum it up. The PS3 is technically more powerful, however harder to dev for. The 360 is easier to Dev for. They are ~> Both great systems that have their ups and downs

My post got cut off, and left it at a bad note.
Pretty much said, 360 games look better on the 360, and PS3 look better on the PS3. They are just two different, and few have the experience of deving on the PS3.
And then suggested everyone buy both systems like I did to enjoy Fable 2, Halo 3/Wars, Bioshock, Masseffect, Lair, Heavenly Sword, MGS 4, FFXIII, Killzone, and much much more!
I think I lost a Paragraph or two, but oh well!

@Jldowning, i completely agree with you. I have a ps3 and i have to admit sometimes the graphics are better then 360 but 360 has the software.

Sup J, you're right about Sony not having the back-end it deserves. But I honestly think M$ did their homework better...look who you're competing against? The #1 software developer in the world. Major corporations are putting their money with Xbox 360, take one glimpse at the Marketplace and Arcade. By the time Sony catches up with Xbox360, M$ will already have a new console in development...and guess who's coming with them? Everyone.
Hell maybe we'll implement some of the technology Sony has bet it's money on, I think it was just a bit too early.

Yeah Sony Did make the mistake that has killed many good systems over the years (like the Dreamcast) They were the first ones to implement new tech, and it seems like those systems like to die.
You are Also right on the money when it comes to a new Xbox out before the PS3 is gone. Sony already said they expect a 8-10 year life to thier PS3 (PS2 lasted 8 years, with games still flying off the shelves at the end) I suspect M$ will own the Market until about 2008-2009, Sony will then take it from 2009-2012ish when the new Xbox comes out.
Then again, I'm just pulling that out of my ass!
It is good to know, that since the price cut, PS3 sells have risen 2800%, and thats not even the post E3 numbers, (Now sony has at least SOME Software.) So Both Systems should have a good life span.
Of- Topic, there is a Fable 2 Hands on at IGN! No videos yet, but the game looks really really fun.

That's standard formatting code left over from audio conversion, I believe. Lots of files contain it - it has nothing to do with ARG.

This is the best soundtrack since the opening of MGS2. I downloaded it and it's on repeat. I know there is a longer version out there. Come on Bungie.

Thanks buddy I agree with you, The PS3 technically has a more powerful processor but you're forgetting that the 3 weaker 360 processors have the ability to delegate seperate tasks more efficiently...
Why ram everything down one pipe when you can split it up into a few pipes working in tandem.
So it's more an arguement of which system functions more efficiently.
That... And I was emphasizing more on the fact that 360's game exclusivity severely cripples ANYTHING Sony has coming... PERIOD
and although it is more powerful the graphics thus far look much better on the 360 in everyway...
I'm not a Sony hater... I've had 1 and 2 but something about the PS3 is depressing... The 360 is a much happier positive looking and functioning system...
And that's the end of that chapter...

I Well I must admit I can't say which delegates to its processors best. I know I've seen the PS3 used for Ray Tracing a Model 22 times more detailed then current CGI models in real time. (actually it was 3 PS3's) And they made a point on how each SPU was doing something different. So I wounder if it has something to do with the dev understanding how to program for it.
I know games like Haze and Dirt run better and look better on the PS3, both devs say this is because the help Sony is now offering devs from their own expo in first party games.
360 has a solid lead it will surely hold it for at least the year, however this is a very exciting time for Sony with so many new things we didn't have one the way! (Rumble+Force Feedback, Redesigned PSN for ease of use and gaming with friends, and a bunch of new exclusives and ports to anticipate.
Sony's three biggest mistakes are soon to be fixed, and at the very least should ensure the life of the console along side the 360, into 2008.

I'm getting sick of this Console war the PS3 and the 360 are borth really good Consoles the PS3 has things the 360 doesn't and the same goes with the 360.
Main reason why i like the PS3 is beacuse the PS3 is silent doesn't sound like a Plane ready for take of and its finding cures for cancer now these people that say ps3 sucks would u still say that if anyone in ur family has got cancer.
The PS3 does research to cure cancer now if u don't know what that is look it up.
Also because of the games that you will not find on the 360 Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy XIII VS XIII, Kingdom Hearts 3, Home The Getaway 3 Warhawk Lair Heavenly Sword FIFA 08 Folklore The Eye of Judgment Haze Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier SingStar Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. And thoes are the games comeing out for the ps3.
And then u have people that say the PS3 graphics sack but they don't they are just as good as the 360 but the 360 is a bit better but the PS3 has something that helps the Graphics more for the PS3 and thats the Blu Ray.
Because of the cell and the GPU and the Blu Ray of the PS3 that alows companys to put more detail in to the game for example Oblivion.
The Developers said that it is an exact copy of the game but they only modified it to fit the Ps3's hardware.
They said that the textures and details wasn't possibly for the 360. not even just that it has better loading times to. I have it for my 360 and PS3.
