Video: Explosive C4 goodnes in COD4
With so many World War II games out there, many gamers took it as a breath of fresh air to see Call of Duty 4 take place in modern times. After all, with modern times come modern weapons and modern technology. Combine those two things and what do you get? Yes, you get C4. The above gameplay video showcases the use of C4 (handily controlled by a remote) in Call of Duty 4. Suffice it to say, it looks like some good ol' fashioned explosive fun. And don't think it's all just for giggles either. You get an achievement for downing two enemies by blowing up a car, so this is serious business.

Just wait till people in multiplayer line the roads with dozens of these and blow the map to pieces(if these are in MP, which i would imagine)

ya looks great, except for that damn car model , why does the car look so tiny, i mean the player towers over it, it seems unproportinal not to mention a VERY ugly car model if you ask me way too basic.
DjDATZ @ Jul 31st 2007 1:26PM
The only thing i dont agree with is...the size of those C4's is about a kilo or so no? If so, I know 1 kilo of C4 can LEVEL a building...and it doesnt make such a minute explosion...

Campers rejoice! I can see this being used in an annoying way.

looks good, can be great for tactical uses but very annoying too. although i really enjoy seeing these amazing COD4 videos, im a little broguht down by the fact that there are no MP achievements. i would love to work towards something in COD4 as it's my favorite war based game of al time.

Ok. I like the COD series alot and this 1 looks great. However, in the past I have had some serious issues with Infinaty Wards style of game programing. These are most likley issues I am willing to bet will be in the new COD as well.
#1 I got really tired of seeing every other character in the game get to use a cover system except my guy. They leaned against walls or behind obsticals reaching out to fire while I could only crouch behind things.
#2 The checkpoints.
Sometimes while beating the game on veteran Youll get stuck on a part where U just keep dying, and everytime it reloads U from the last checkpoint, Ur stuck watching and listening to a 2 or 3 minute cinamatic that gets really REALLY old fast then U finally get to play and if U die again Ur right back to that annoying Cinamatic. It'll make U want to break something. Lets also not forget how they save exactly where U were and what U were doing at that time. So, if It saved while U were dying guess what, Ur fucked buddy. Gotta start all over.
#3 The Super Human AI
On Veteran I have run into several instances of super human AI on the enemy team and over the top retardedness from my own teammates.
Once, I was in a barn,at the other end of it from the only way in,completley prone behind a sack of potatos or some shit with at least 5 other guys taking position elsewhere in the structure. Well I had my face halfway out so I could see the entrance and an enemy shows up, fires what seems to be a single shot and kills me in less than a seconds time to react while completly ignoring all the other guys just standing around.....Thats grade A++ Bullshit there. Given the skills the AI has in the aiming department, Id bet they could very easly shoot out the flame on a candle with a shot gun from over 100 yards distance without even aiming. Heh, nice programing.
#4 The Pointless Battles.
U can just sit there and watch as the AI from the Germans "pretends" to Battle with the Allied Forces. Its really gay knowing that it will never go anywhere and that ultimatly Im the only person in all WW2 that can do shit about anything at all. Heres an Idea, how about at least some online campagn co-op?
#5 My idiot team mates.
Howmany times has a fellow team mate blocked my way and caused my death? Man if I had a nickle for evey time that happend. Or how about when Ur gunning down some dirty Jerries and ur team mate walks in ur line of fire and of all things UR ACTIONS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!? Fuck them man, fuck them. Ifinity Ward really needs to correct this problem in a big way.
I know Im bitching about alot of things in the COD universe, But I do really like the series if U can believe it. Most of these problems were only issues on the Veteran Difficulty. But still, they made it an achievment to beat it on that setting so, being forced to play it, it could have been alot less annoying.

I have to agree with the above post.
Yesterday I was playing some CoD2 on Veteran for the points.
1.At one part the Germans just kept coming out of a building until I stormed it, unlimited Germans.
2.At another point I moved whilst in cover and died behind a wall whilst prone.
3.My AI team keeps running in front of my bullets.
4.It checkpointed me at a place I would die within 1 second on respawing, shell from a tank. There was no way to move out of the way and as I can't go back to a previous checkpoint I had to start the level again.
However the CoD games are still great.

Could you have come up with a more corny intro than that? lol,
seriously. Here's my hackeyed attempt;
