Forza 2 gets some DLC love, tournament soon
Forza fans out there should take note that the first batch of downloadable content for Forza Motorsport 2 is now available. There are two content packs to download. The first of which is the Nissan Tournament Pack, which includes the 2007 Nissan Altima, 2007 Nissan Sentra, and 2007 Nissan 350Z. Oh, and we should probably mention that the Nissan pack is free. The other pack is the Peugot #8 turbo diesel 908. If you want this ride, however, it's going to cost you 50 MS Points. Still, we don't remember the last time we got a car for less than a buck (virtual or otherwise) so it's not that bad of a deal. Now download, play, and be merry.
DCEmu also informs us that a tournament will soon be kicking off on August 18. The tournament will be an all out Nissan Sentra showdown between 256 players, with the finalists competing in Los Angeles. We assume further details on the tournament are forthcoming. In the meantime, you might want to start tuning up those Sentras. Finally, a Nissan Sentra customization contest is also in the works. In the contest, players will compete to create the best custom paint jobs. More details should be available on XboxLiveTournament.com starting August 10.

Right on...I sent this in as a tip but was probably a bit late...lol
Notably more the Peugot 908 race car is the ONLY paintable car in Forza 2.

wow a company finally understands how to use the marketplace pricing correctly. Considering a Hotwheels or Matchbox will cost a buck at Wal-mart this is the best value other than free out there

considering i'm sitting at 450MSP, i'll be gettin the peugot (as well as the free shit).
and i agree with knary...FINALLY a company that understands HOW microtransactions work and how DLC SHOULD be priced.

Wow, awesome! I'm glad to see them releasing car packs so quickly, hopefully this will mean an unending stream of them (well... it can end once I've got a Morgan Aero 8 and a Spyker C12 Zagato to play with)

@ DjDATZ, The Nissan cars aren't paintable? You mean just no vinyls, or is the paint a fixed color as well? Any word on engine mods?

Firstly, a correction: its spelled Peugeot not Peugot, my bad. (Rich, you might want to fix it in the post...)
@ AoE: The Nissans are fully paintable. The Peugeot is THE first RACE car that is paintable. No clue about engine mods...I'm guessing they're gonna be quite standard as other production cars out there...

Free pack, great. Car priced fairly, great again. But that's it? I remember one of the Turn 10 guys talking and saying he didn't want to say what was coming because it still had to be certified. I'm guessing there was more that got rejected...I mean I don't expect 12 new tracks and 300 new cars...Just seems odd. But again the price is fair! I don't mean to whine!
