Available on the Marketplace to US and Japanese Xbox Live members is a brand new and steamy
Fatal Inertia demo. The demo, which clocks in at 380MB, takes place in a "brave new world of combat racing" and features "gravity-defying machines [that] are no longer confined to the speedways and stadiums of centuries past". Sounds like some Awesomeness with a capital "A" to us ... or it could be very lame. So, we recommend garnering your opinion when you finish downloading the
Fatal Inertia demo and giving it a try. You know, because that's how
you roll.

Boy, that's a bad texture right there. I doubt it'll be a Wipeout or F-Zero, but given that I can't play either on the 360 I guess it'll do. I'll give it a shot soon, I think my 360 is on its way back :D.
This thing has had a weird development period too. It was one of the first PS3 games announced and here it is on the 360. Hopefully that's not a horrible sign of the game's quality lol.
bamelin @ Aug 2nd 2007 10:25AM
Awesome,
I've been looking forward to this one for awhile! Can't wait to get home, why do I have to be at work right now !!
ryan @ Aug 2nd 2007 10:26AM
*rubs eyes* i haven't seen one of those textures since N64...(and no i'm not paid by SONY lol.)
DjDATZ @ Aug 2nd 2007 10:26AM
I'll download this once I ship off my 360 and then get it back.
inferno3387 @ Aug 2nd 2007 10:28AM
Wow, this looks like an old N64 game or a PS1 Game. This is terrible! WTF! STOP RELEASING THIS STUPID SHIT!!!!! STOP IT YOU FUCKERS!!
inferno3387 @ Aug 2nd 2007 10:28AM
Sorry for the bad language, just tired of them releasing junk... and expecting people to buy it...
Boff @ Aug 2nd 2007 10:31AM
Anyone tried it yet? Still in work :o(
And that screenshot reminds of the SNES's Mode7!! (It was Mode7 wasn't it??)
Tony @ Aug 2nd 2007 10:35AM
It's a really bad screen of the game and from what I've seen in videos, it seems like you're moving so fast that the game blurs every thing directly around you anyway....
So I'd not really judge it entirely based upon that.
kaindragoon @ Aug 2nd 2007 10:44AM
That's not fair...Burnout 3 and Revenge had lousy textures for the systems they were on. I always found their environments to be bland looking when I was stopped or crashed. The focus of this style of racing game is on motion blur and particle/explosion effects.
ZenGaijin @ Aug 2nd 2007 11:24AM
I don't really like the controls, it feels like your controlling a paper airplane rather than a heavy metal spacecraft.
Adeepond Harris @ Aug 2nd 2007 11:39AM
I played it. The graphics aren't as bad as those in the picture, they're actually quite decent. But after playing it, if I were you, I wouldn't waste time downloading it, and it's only 380mb.
Matt @ Aug 2nd 2007 11:45AM
Graphics are fairly average and the game is just dull - no sense of speed, mundane course design, and lame music (to be expected)
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Messs17 @ Aug 2nd 2007 12:25PM
To be blunt, the game sucked.
Project Ekim @ Aug 2nd 2007 12:51PM
I kinda liked it its pretty fun and it has 4 player splitscreen and the xbox needs more splits screen games some people still have friends over to play some games.
ccc @ Aug 2nd 2007 12:51PM
I'll be checking this out soon. But i gotta say based on the Video Isaw from E3 it looked like it was seriously lacking a cense of speed.
Also, Id like to say I think its Bullshit that demos can clock in at almost 2 gig in size but a Live Arcade game has a max of 150 meg? WTF guys come on. With a game like Marathon taking almost 140 meg to have, it has REALLY sunkin my hopes of higher caliber games on the Arcade like say an hd remake of the Duke. Is the 150 meg limit have something to do with those core system bitches? Seriously think about it, when U buy content in the Market Place it registers it to ur console not the HDD. Why? Is it so those guys without the HDD can redownload thier purchases each time they power up and wanna play them? If so, Im really tired of being held back by these non-memory loving corupt data get thier foot in the door and leave it there 4eva bargin shopping coupon clipping cheap assholes!
Enon777 @ Aug 2nd 2007 2:14PM
One word "CRAPTACULAR"!!!!!

Although I personally prefer futuristic racing games on a track, but whatever. Demo is only 380 megs, so you can't go wrong in downloading it.
michael @ Aug 2nd 2007 4:09PM
this game is terrible. graphics, track design, weapons, all of it. terrible terrible terrible.
Razin @ Aug 2nd 2007 4:34PM
Usually when it says US it includes Canada, guess not this time cuz I'm not seeing this demo on xblm
bigd7387 @ Aug 2nd 2007 9:15PM
Wow. For 800 points it might not be bad but for a Retail version it sucked. No sense of speed, screen tearing, horphic pop-up every where, and textures that pop in an out. Not a good game.
Moofree @ Aug 3rd 2007 1:25AM
Just played the demo for 20 minutes before I couldn't take anymore.
Lame course design, crappy weapons, and generally bad gameplay.
I was hoping for a wipeout killer, and I got something... much worse.
zorniki @ Aug 3rd 2007 2:15AM
sounds like they should´ve kept it a PS3 exclusive to me...
joshg @ Aug 3rd 2007 3:16AM
I don't care how good the game is or how good it looks, FRAME RATE IS IMPORTANT! I AM SO FRUSTRATED AT DEVELOPERS THAT THINK 15FPS is ACCEPTABLE IN A GAME!
Dear GOD!!!! WTF... seriously, optimize your damn code. Gears of War looks way better than everything on 360 and it has a very consistent framerate, even in split screen it's consistent.
Boff @ Aug 3rd 2007 7:37AM
Just realised - this is US/JAP only too!
FFS.
Ken @ Aug 8th 2007 4:30PM
the game probably moves so fast theres probably no need to make that texture any higher
