Let the showdown begin: GHIII nabs Metallica
The gloves are off folks, after yesterday's revelation that Rock Band and Guitar Hero III would definitely be sharing songs, there was really only one other question that needed answering: what about Metallica? We know Metallica is in Rock Band, but what about Guitar Hero III? That question has been answered and answered well. As it turns out, Guitar Hero III will not only feature Metallica -- the news was slipped during an Activision conference call -- but the song to be featured is "One," and what's more, it's a master track. Metallica fans couldn't ask for much better than that. If the end result of having two competing music games is more awesome tracks for both of them, then we say bring on the competition.

Wow, while 1 isn't the main song I wanted, it was definatly my second most wanted right behind Seek and Destroy. And U really cant compare Enter Sandman to One lol. This is a nobrainer which is better.

Fuck Metallica. When's the last time they did anything that wasn't a money grab? That's what this is. Lars must be low on cash.

Doesn't matter. If Rock Band has Metallica, that probably means they'll have a full downloadable album after release. GH3 can't beat that with "One" song. (See what I did there?)

As awful (my opinion) as the lineup that gh2 was, gh3 is looking much much better. I was going to get rock band, but I may have switched back to GH3. Bring on the competition

"Metallica fans couldn't ask for much better than that."
Believe me, there are many songs that a Metallica fan would ask for long before One. One was a popular success, but virtually anything from any of the previous albums would be preferable. Why not "Master of Puppets?"

This would be a bit more welcome on Rock Band as I would love to see the YouTube of someone doing the drum on Expert for this track!

One is hands down my favorite Metallica song. This completely sealed the deal for my purchase... now if only they would add some old school Tool in there.

Who cares, dumbass. Just because they haven't done anything noteworthy in 15 years doesn't mean that suddenly their past works are garbage. What the hell is wrong with you?
