WRUP: so sad and lonely edition

Despite the fact we had accepted that it would happen eventually, the loss of a console has taken its toll. We're angry and confused. We've been short with our friends and family. The other day, we stooped to playing Gamecube to dull the pain. It didn't work. We miss all of our dear online friends. The 360 community rug has been viciously been pulled out from under us. Honestly, we're not sure what to do next. But don't worry about us, for it is you that's important. Besides, two out of three X3F bloggers still have working consoles, and two out of three ain't bad. So, as always we must ask, what will you be playing this weekend?

shadowrun definitely. and actually i really enjoy wing commander arena. i picked that up a couple days ago and i really enjoy it. but it makes me sad that there arent many people playing it online. =(

Hey Mitchell how tempting is it to keep the Elite you guys will be getting soon? BTW haven't heard anything from the "free" prizes...did you guys keep all that? I would lol.

I got a review copy of Persona 3 shortly after my 360 went out. I'd probably be playing nothing otherwise. Luckily Persona 3 is awesome.

Looks like I'll be spending an unhealthy amount of time with DiRT and as always Halo 2. Might play some Burnout Revenge as well in hopes to breaking 8000 gamerscore.

While I will be away from my precious 360 for most of the weekend, when I get back on Sunday I'm planning on playing some Shadowrun, Bomberman Live, and Carcassonne. Maybe I'll be playing some Gears too, if it's what the friends list wills... plus I even toyed with the idea of breaking out Test Drive Unlimited again, as I still need quite a few achievements from that game.

I try to play games online that aren't R6:Vegas but after like 20 min, I always think "what the hell am I doing R6 is much more fun than this". Other than that I'll probably play some Castlevania: SOTN.

Richard, my first Premium died in February, just a day before I got a seriously bad flu that lasted the whole month. It was while playing Crackdown. Right out of the Agency tunnel my 360's fan stopped, the console became dead silent, and the image froze. That was it.

I had to call the call center THREE TIMES in one week to secure my cardboard coffin, because the woman somehow didn't process my order correctly, and the second time the 'servers were down'. All told it took me about three and a half bored, sick, bedridden weeks to get my console back.

Irony of ironies, my all-time favorite game, CastleVania:SOTN finally hit XBLA the VERY DAY my console arrived in McAllen, Texas.
Let's hope this second console lasts longer than 8 months!

I could always use the Elite...*ahem*..haha!

Oh..and to add..don't feel bad about firing up the Gamecube..I actually turned on my PS2 during that month once! It was crazy. (And yes, I'm being serious. It was the only time I'd even plugged in the console since I first got my 360 in August 2006. I've got a Wii, but for now that might as well be unplugged and set aside, too!)

*Geometry Wars (anticipating Geo Wars Galaxies for DS!!)

*Transformers to see exactly HOW much it

Hey, how about one MORE pointless comment from me today? Why not?:)

I just wanna tell Richard not at ALL to feel left out or too depressed. If I had to choose a time of the year to be without a 360, this would be it. Madden hits in two weeks, and Bioshock before the end of the month, but that's pretty much it. Halo is still 7 weeks away, and Call of Duty 4 is thirteen weeks from now. Hopefully your replacement console will last through the Holiday season and let ya play everything coming up in the next few months!

Sit down, buy a DS lite if you haven't already, and chill with Advance Wars: Dual Strike, CastleVania: Portrait of Ruin, New Mario Bros, Tetris DS, Puzzle Quest, Picross and Rocket Slime.:) When you get your console back, it'll be time to get Bioshock!

Well depends on the paycheck. Barring any significant leftover funds after taking care of bills, I'll be playing (at least one of the following) in no particular order, NCAA 08, Gears of War, SDVR07 (if it comes in before Monday), Halo 1 (I'm fairly new to the XBox/360 scene), and/or any new games I acquire. I'm thinking about ES4O, Bomberman Live, SOTN, and probably some others I'm forgetting. Just need the money first.

It's going to be a stormy weekend here about in Chicago area...

It's been a tough month in July trying to get my gaming theater setup. I recently bought Oblivion, ShdaowRun, Pac Man CE and Devil May Cry 3.

And on top of that, I have quite a few games to finish still, Crackdown, Gears on Hardcore, R6:Vegas offline and online for more points, Guitar Hero II...Sheesh, I never would have beleived it when I was a kid but it seems like I honestly have way too many games to handle at the moment

It may be worth it for you to go buy a Core system right now, plug in your hardrive (which doesn't get sent with your console) and you back up and running.

Then when it comes back, sell it on ebay. You'll pretty much make back what you paid...it will be like you are renting one for $50.

If you are more unscrupulous, you may even be able to just return the console within it's 30 days.

Hey Mitchell, Last night on live was the best EVA heh. I had an unbelievable amount of pleasure destroying people and thier egos in GOW. Maybe now would be a good time to get ur hands on a ps2 and catch up on some good shit U nodoubt missed out on. Dont U have a friend or some1 U could borrow it from for a few weeks?

As far as this weekend goes Ill be hitting up.......

Gears, Pacman CE, Guitar Hero 2, R6V, COD2, The Darkness, Merathon and some Wing Commander if I can fit it in.

Its a sad time when that happens. Fortunently I've played my Son's system until I got mine back last week. Funny I sent it to them on the 17th and got it back on the 25th. Mine wasn't ROD, DVD drive went out but they sent me a brand new one, with a free month of Xbox Live Gold. The only bad thing is that my Son charged me $5 a day usage, so he now has $50, plus I had to do his chores. I don't think MS screwed me but I do believe my Son did! Oh well he's 17 and in 2 adays for Football so I guess he deserves it. Right?
