Rock Band hits Europe in 2008, new tracks

Electronic Arts has confirmed that Rock Band won't see the light of day in Europe until 2008. The confirmation comes not long after Red Octane founder Charles Huang predicted that producing enough music peripherals for a worldwide launch would prove too difficult. Naturally, EA didn't explain why Rock Band won't see Europe in 2007, but we imagine Huang's reasoning is pretty sound. EA also announced that a PS2 version of the game is in the works, and it will launch alongside its current-gen cousins in Europe next year (and presumably in the US as well). Finally, EA revealed ten new master tracks for the game:
- "Gimme Shelter" by the Rolling Stones
- "Highway Star" by Deep Purple
- "Should I Stay or Should I Go" by The Clash
- "Epic" by Faith No More
- "Cherub Rock" by Smashing Pumpkins
- "Creep" by Radiohead (!)
- "Sabotage" by Beastie Boys (also in GHIII)
- "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" by Jet
- "Here It Goes Again" by OK Go

Eh, that's cool and all.
But could you imagine how sick it would be if they would have put Paranoid Android on there instead of Creep? The guitar solo would be awesome. Or even My Iron Lung. Creep is such a downer. Kids will finish playing it and be like... "WTF i want to die now."

Let's see, Bioshock, Halo 3, Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, PGR4, GH3 and some other random games. Well, I'm happy that I don't have to spend additional 200 euros for this game this year. It's not like we 360 owners are on short of games to play. :)

I was really hoping we wouldnt see any overlap in the track lists. it just takes away from reasons to buy both games. cause seriously, if i can play a songs guitar, bass, DRUMS, AND VOCALS, why would i just play its guitar and bass?

@ #10 agreed.
If RockBand gets any Muse songs no GH3 for me.

Radiohead! Holy cow - they're not even on iTunes yet. Maybe the Pablo Honey stuff is fair game since they don't play it anymore... If they ever do a full album Rock Band release of OK Computer, I'll need to change my pants.

Well I guess Guitar Hero 3 should sell well in Australia and Europe now.
