Talking with
Pro-G at the Leipzig Games Convention, Bizarre Creations confirmed that a new
Geometry Wars game will be exclusively bundled with
Project Gotham Racing 4. The new geometry shooter will be called
Geometry Wars: Waves and will not be available on the XBLA like it's older brother
Retro Evolved, instead it'll stay attached to
PGR4 for the long run. Bizarre Creations also mentioned that the new
Waves is based off of
Retro Evolved and is not officially considered to be the next game in the series. Whatever that may entail or mean, we know that we're getting a new
Geometry Wars on October 2nd. W00t!

that's kinda creppy.. i'm still playing forza2 , don't need another racer...
and...furthermore... any cheevos related to Geo Wars "Waves" will have to be be contained in the first 1000 for PGR4...
might tick people off who just want the 1000 from racing and/or want extra points for geo wars.

well, hopefully all the features of GW: Waves will be included in GW2 because i'm not gonna get PGR4, buit I'd like some new geometry wars.... or the new mutant storm they showed A YEAR AGO.

Well that pretty much confirms it for me. I'm not buying another racing game I have Forza 2 how do you top that? in addition since it looks like the 360 will not be getting Geo Wars Galaxies. It time to hunt down a Wii and wait for galaxies to come out.

xeno, i think if it comes as an xbla game on a seperate cd, then it gets its own set of points...
I'm not done forza 2 but im about 20 races from the end which i'll let the comp do...and then my buddy'll gift me the whole collection of cars so i dont have to bother getting them...and after that all i have to do is boost with him to get the 1 mil credits...which should be easy enough...lol
WOOHOO I JUST GOT THE CALL I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR! MY 360 WILL BE SHIPPING OUT IN THE NEXT 48 BUSINESS HOURS! but that kinda sucks...cuz that means I can't play this weekend or next weekend (i'm away all from saturday to next sunday on vacation in cuba). oh well. I still love you 360. :D and i'll have you for when halo 3 comes out.

In regards to GeoWars: Waves and PGR4..PGR4 isn't on my games radar yet this year, and I hadn't planned to buy it. Now, when it comes to GeoWars, I'm actually EXCITED about 'Galaxies' on the DS so I'll be rocking that version. I really love GeoWars, despite the fact I STILL can't crack the 9x multiplier!

Boo! I'm annoyed that they're going to charge $60 for the new Geometry Wars game just because it has a racing game easter egg.
Although, I did get PGR3, and enjoyed it for a while. Looks like I'll be getting another game this fall.

PGR3 was the very first game in my 360 so it holds special memories :o)
And I love Geometry Wars, even though it's solid!
PGR4 + GW: Waves is a definite for me.

I hate Project Gotham Racing, this sucks. This effectivly means I'm NOT getting Geometry Wars: Waves, because I'm NOT buying a game of that shitty series.
