Browsing through random Flickr sets early this morning we stumbled upon a few pictures of the new
Halo 3 Slurpee cups that are appearing in 7-11 stores right now. These super special Slurpee cups feature lenticular
Halo 3 images around the outside of the cup (similar to the
Halo 2 promotion done years back) and can be purchased at any 7-11 convenience store for only $1.99 with Slurpee goodness included. Sadly, where we live there are no 7-11s near by, so these pictures will have to suffice. Next on the list of
Halo 3 co-brandings to complete is fast food restaurant
Burger King. So ... where are our Cortana shaped chicken nuggets?

If the Halo Burger King toys are like the super-deformed Star Wars Episode III line a few years back, sign me up! Those were pretty cool.
Keep us updated if you know of advance warning when to expect the meals, X3F.

The campaign is being run out of 7-11? And Master Chief is John 1-1-7? Coincidence??? I think so!
Jon @ Aug 31st 2007 3:17PM
Is it just me, or are there absolutely NO 7- Eleven stores in Houston, wtf?
ArchEnemy20 @ Aug 31st 2007 3:29PM
We have one about every 5 miles up here in the NorthEast :)
Mauricio @ Aug 31st 2007 3:33PM
yup. Here in L.A. they have 7-11's inside the restrooms of 7-11 's
Jon @ Aug 31st 2007 3:36PM
Yeah, I just moved out here to Texas, and back in NC there were tons. But jeez, I missed out on the Simpsons...now this...crap!
Jon @ Aug 31st 2007 3:40PM
How strange, because apparently they started off in Dallas. Does anyone know if it has to do with the whole Citgo escapade and their closure of the Houston refinery, which led to the non-renewal of their contract with 7-Eleven? How is Houston not a good market for 7-Eleven stores? SHEESH!
Taylor Alexander @ Aug 31st 2007 4:17PM
Dude... i live in Silicon Valley (santa clara, ca), and i literally have 5 7-11's within a mile of my house, it's awesome!

I just got back from my 7-Eleven in Naperville IL, and no sign of them there. darn. This slurpee im sipping right now just doesnt feel as 1337 as it would if it had the master cheif on it.
WK @ Aug 31st 2007 6:46PM
I stopped in Elk Grove Village, IL on Monday and they had the Halo cups available.
Note they're "3D", have have that weird plastic coating on them, and it makes the cups stick to each other like superglue.
Jon @ Aug 31st 2007 5:19PM
@11 agh, you bastard, how I long for a 1337 haloz slurpee
Stupidiot @ Aug 31st 2007 7:12PM
Just how big are games in advertising in the States? Here in the UK there's absolutely nothing apart from the very occasional advertisement on TV, or very rare cinema ad.
drunkenironrabbit @ Aug 31st 2007 7:53PM
they suck, theyre half the size of the Halo2 slurpee cups and the art is no where near as good. if you know the slurpee sizes theyre actually just a little bigger than the smallest or half the size of the biggest one which also happens to be 30 cents cheaper, lol. If anyone needs help getting them because theyre not gonna have them near them feel free to message me and i can help you out providing that you pay for the cups and shipping ;) the running flag master chief cup is the best one, its the one that i picked up last night.~Q
Trashman @ Aug 31st 2007 8:17PM
Got one of teh three cups today. Picking up the last two tomorrow and monday. If burger king has halo 3 toys, Mr Jack Thompson is sure to be infuriated by it
Ningles @ Aug 31st 2007 10:30PM
Anyone know if these are also in Canadian 7-11s?
Mark M @ Aug 31st 2007 10:42PM
they are at a 7-11 in St. Albert, Alberta, Canada and i have seen them in many locations in edmonton. so yes. I have 3 of each type (9). ;)
christ @ Aug 31st 2007 11:19PM
i think the reason why the cups are smaller is because theyre more useful as collectible cups. i find that the bigger size 7-11 cups are too big to use as normal cups at home, but the new smaller size is more manageable.
Deezul @ Sep 1st 2007 12:18AM
My local 7-11 just had paper Halo cups. :-(
TOMCATS @ Sep 1st 2007 1:05AM
@15... Yes, the cups are smaller, but a lot better. The paint on the H2 cups flake off and it does not on these. Trust me, I have about a dozen of them.
Dapper Dan @ Sep 1st 2007 1:38AM
no 7-11's in the atlanta area
Trashman @ Sep 1st 2007 3:25AM
TOMCATS, you willing to sell some for cheap?
Leo @ Sep 1st 2007 5:06AM
Will the advertisement ever stop?!?
*Look at Halo accessories article*
Nope.
And damn, I'm sick of the ads already!
*Plays Warhawk* =)
Outinthedark @ Sep 1st 2007 11:04AM
I picked up all 3 last night...there are half a dozen 7-11's in my area...the one I went to if you look about a mile down the road you can see 2 more [given it's the boardwalk]
They look good...kinda urked they were not as big as the past years but oh well...I think the quality is better...
Plenty of them here...I can pick up any if anyone needs...going to snag a ton of extras for myself anyways...
