Simpsons Medal of Homer video pokes fun at EA

Okay, rarely do gamers ever get excited about games based on movies or television shows. Sure, there is the occasional diamond in the rough, but by and large there is lot more rough out there. To top that, The Simpsons is sitting on more crappy licensed video games (NSFW) than just about any other entertainment property. As such, we're reluctant to get excited about the upcoming console iteration, but damn it, we just can't help it. The latest video from The Simpsons is a spoof of EA's Medal of Honor series, and it looks to be a pretty good one. If The Simpsons can maintain this kind of self-referential, tongue-in-cheek humor and implement even halfway decent gameplay, it could be a lot of fun. Here's hoping.

I just got the Ring of Death. Yay me, and I was just about to finally experience HD gaming :(.

I have to say this game does look pretty intriguing.

On another note!!! :

Alright, somehow my friend got into the COD4 multiplayer beta without signing up on the website. He said he just checked demos one day and it popped up. I seriously believe him, he's one of the casual types who has to ask me when Halo 3 comes out and what Rock Band is. Is this some sort of Xbox Live glitch or what? I've seen him playing before so I know he's not lying. I am honestly stumped. Is there a logical explanation?

P.S. I have absolutely no reason to lie or fool any of you, I just need an answer!

*** And don't say he actually did sign up. I can guarantee he didn't. He is one of those ppl who stick to EA Sports games. He definitely did not sign up on the website.

The ONLY way to get into the CoD4 beta is to use a token you receive from Infinity Ward under Redeem Code on the Marketplace. That was from the signing up on CoD4 or the Friends and Family for Infinity Ward Developers. So basically, your friend did sign up and used the code.

There is absolutely no other way. So I can guarantee you he did.

I don't get how they poke fun at EA too.. cuz the game's from EA so their poking themselves...???? huhh?!?

I think EA did this for fun, like a parody of their own Medal of Honor games... good for them.

Actually there is a glitch to get access to it using someone who already has the demo, but if your friend is the casual fellow you say he is, I doubt he would have been able to do such a thing.. Unless someone guessed his password and secretly did it for him.

Have you ever WATCHED The Simpsons? If not, I'll go ahead and spoil the episodes for you: The Simpsons make fun of Fox, a LOT! It doesn't surprise me to see this same mentality in a Simpsons videogame.

Depending on the reviews that this game gets I just might consider buying this. The videos over at gametrailers.com look pretty awesome.

Did you WATCH the trailer?

It is a simpson's game where a level/world is done in the style of Medal of Honor. I get that....plus I get sarcasm and jokes.

Our point is at no point did we see how this makes fun of EA. If you see a joke against EA in there.....let us know.
