MS mistakenly ships 20K American 360s to the UK?
While not the most reliable of sources, an employee of Game, one of the UK's major gaming retailers, claims that Microsoft has shipped 10-20,000 American Premium Xbox 360s to the UK by mistake. The problem became apparent when the employee, known only as King Antonius, received a returned Xbox 360. It turns out that the returned unit was an American console, and thus had an incompatible power cord for the UK. A quick check of the remaining Premium 360 stock revealed that all the Premium consoles at King Antonius' store were American. Apparently this is a widespread issue. While we can't verify the authenticity of the claims, we'd suggest that our UK readers check the contents of their Xbox 360 box before leaving the store.

And those who do not know how to check for the region: There will be a small box (like they do for in the games) on the right hand upper corner of the box.

King Antonius may be the best name I've ever seen listed as the source of a rumor.

Now you have to wonder where all the British ones have got to.
Does this mean America now has a ton of British 360s or are they still sitting in some warehouse waiting to be shipped out?

Just what I was wondering Sad..

Wow, with all the mistakes M$ makes, I am surprised that they can tell the difference between a $10 and a $100 bill.

WOw......shipping mistake....oh Noes!!
I really don't believe it. With all the electronics in the world, companies got a pretty good handle on shipping to where.
Although, the US Air Force accidentally carried live nukes over the States....so who noes.

Minus the powersupply issues I'd bet that'd be freakin sweet for a British guy. Get all the games day one (cept socc.. I mean football games and Flatout: UC) just gotta pay shipping and from what I understand (atleast in the states you don't have to pay tax over the internet) you might not have to pay the outrageous taxes they impose on everything there. The price of a power supply would be a small thing compared to the game catalog and release dates.

This is true, you dont know how frustraiting it is checking through 20+ 360s that came in to my store and find there all american, it took me about an hour to open them and repack them.
interstinly though some of the consoles are british and have a british and american power plug, 9 times out of 10 the english one wont fit into the power brick

Obviously Microsoft wants you to import games...I think.

seems like a pretty convenient mistake to coincide with the uk elite launch and premium price cut
