Pontiac wants you to be the first to play Halo 3

Want to be the first to play Halo 3? Want to see and experience Halo 3 in all its glory on an IMAX screen? If you answered yes to one or more of these questions then go and enter Pontiac's Be The First promotion. We say this only because you could win a ticket into a New York or San Francisco IMAX play session or win a copy of Halo 3 to be delivered to your door on September 24th, which is one full day before your friends will get their copy. If your interest is piqued, head on over to Pontiac's Be The First website (US residents only) and sign up. Once all signed in you'll have a chance to enter both giveaways separately by completing some sort of puzzling puzzle. Yeah, it's a tad bit tedious, but it's for Halo 3 so suck it up and play their mind games. Also note that you can enter once every day, so keep heading back for more chances to win. We smell winners amongst us, now who could it be?

I "won", but the ticket that you print off says that there are a lot more rewards than there are seats, so it's sort of a hybrid "chance to win" with a "first come, first serve".

Receiving an invitation does not guaruntee you entry into the event. There are more invitations being made available than there are seats in the event. 2,500 invitations will be distributed per event, and a maximum of 200 ticket holders and their guests will be granted access into the live event. Entry to the event will be on a first come first serve basis, for valid invitation holder (and guest) only. [b]Guest of invitation recipient must be 18 years of age or older.[/b]

I agree real lame would be awesome to get in but I'm not driving 6 hours for a 1 in 12.5 chance to get in they should really just tell you if your in or not!

I was talking with the friends of mine that I'm doing this with, and the Cambridge answer isn't relivent anymore. That same "not a winner" message has been up for a while now, which is why I didn't mind saying what the answer was.

For those complaining that they're giving 2500 tickets for 200 seats, recognize that a huge majority of winners will be too far from the sites to bother going. Like me, for instance.
