Old Halo movie script possibly leaked
An avid torrent searcher, 1UP visitor and super tipster stumbled upon and sent the 1UP editors a 127 page PDF file that is supposed to be Alex Garland's Halo movie script. If you don't remember, Alex Garland was initially hired to pen the Halo movie script in which author DB Weiss picked up and revised which ultimately landed in the deep, dark void that is Hollywood's "put on hold" script closet. Anyhoo, 1UP posted a few pages from the alleged Halo script in which Master Chief is introduced, his armor is talked about and we get to see the Flood. So, go ahead and make the jump on over to their site if you're curious. And let it be known that these script pages could be real and could possibly end up in a future Halo movie someday, so we'll slap a SPOILER WARNING! label on this just to keep civility. Enjoy ...[Via Joystiq]

WOW.
From the post on 1up.com: "a leaked Hollywood script for an epic sci-fi movie never to be."
Epic sci-fi movie indeed. I read through the parts there, and it seems as if this movie would rival the likes of ANY movie out there be it Spiderman 3, Titanic, or 300. If the rest of the script is done in this style, then there is NOTHING that would touch this movie. Again, Halo would set records.

This is a good script. Why'd they drop this one?

...how can you spoil the halo movie
i mean who hasnt played or read any of the books?

This year would've been a perfect time to release a Halo movie. Or even next year, but probably won't happen :(

Can anyone else see a Killzone or Haze movie?
I dont.
They just don't seem to have that great of names or a Marketing Image like Halo 3 or Gears of War.
anyone agree?

It's hard to say much about a Haze movie, but a Killzone one could work solely based on the basic idea and the somewhat iconic imagery used for the main enemies in the games.

my favorite part was where the battle became TRANSCENDANT
DjDATZ @ Sep 11th 2007 4:34PM
I fully agree Ryan. It's cuz Halo and GOW have have a detailed plot while the other 2 probably don't have AS detailed a plot as Halo n GOW.

yeah I was always wondering why they chose the enemy as the posterboy for Killzone.
Halo from the firt CE edition felt Epic for me. From it's concept and characters to it's Music, my god the music!
Playing through Gears again and again feels cinematic by just playing it let alone the tense cutscenes, it's beautiful architecture also is screaming "big budget backdrop"!
I'm hearing too that they might do a Gears movie based on Emergance Day years before the game takes place.
Here's to hoping Uwe Boll doesn't get his fangs on any of them!
