Confirmed: Ninja Gaiden 2 exclusive to the 360

This morning (afternoon in Japan), during Microsoft's pre-Tokyo Game Show press briefing, Team Ninja's own Tomonobu Itagaki took center stage to announce Ninja Gaiden 2 and that it will be headed to the Xbox 360 exclusively in 2008. Itagaki then proceeded to do an on stage demo, showing off the game's pretty dismemberment effects and began praising the 360 stating that it is "the best game console on the earth". And who are we to disagree? Congratulations fanboys, we're getting some bloody Ninja Gaiden 2 next year exclusively on our Xbox 360 ... get excited.

Yes now I can have another game that I can only earn 10 points worth of achievements for. But it will be beautiful...guess I should finish off part 1 in time for part 2's release.

ninja gaiden black caused me to break 2 xbox controllers.

Forgot to mention that Ninja Gaiden 2 will be published by Microsoft, not Tecmo, so it's a definite exclusive. No timed exclusive - Microsoft owns it.

OMFG!!!! Did you look at the trailer.
At first I was mad because it looked like it was letterboxed. Then I saw the the elements breaking out of the border.
And it's on the live marketplace now.

Best Gaming system on the planet? Hmmmm sounds like its time for MS to buy Team Ninja....Welcome to the family Itagaki...Halo nation needs to make Ninja Gaiden 2 our action game of choice so it will become the action game of the decade since we already have DMC 4 coming to the 360 this year.....Kratos who?

Wow...just wow. I don't think I can be any more happy right now. Halo 3 in 13 days, Mass Effect shortly there after and then Ninja Gaiden 2 next year. It's great to be an Xbox 360 owner!

Um Greg...Tecmo still developed the game. Team Ninja is part of Tecmo.

Good news however, I dunno how much I'm gonna be playin it...NG & Black both kicked my ass and I didn't get through half of either of them.
Anyway, I find it amusing how people are all, "oh yeah 360 has exclusivity and we own!", but when a game comes to the 360 that was previously exclusive to Playstation those same people are all, "I don't know why PS3 owners are griping, it's good that more games are coming to more systems."
I don't really have a stance either way, but just my .02

I agree with 20. time to play through NG black again. although it keeps losing my save games which sucks. can't wait for NG2 hope its still a challenge and they don't make it too easy

In an interview he did regarding Ninja Gaiden: Sigma for the PS3 he said the exact same thing about the Playstation (that it's the best system available and therefore it was the system he'd decided to develop for).
*shrug* I liked Ninja Gaiden on the Xbox (and it seems I'll end up playing it on my roommate's 360). But as far as his credibility goes ... I have a feeling he'd say anything for a buck.
