Rumor: Halo 3 ending leaked (no spoilers here)
Joystiq (along with a few tipsters) is reporting that the ending to Halo 3 has been leaked onto the internet. The source, apparently, is the same person who attempted to sell a pre-release copy on eBay. Now, we're not out to soil (or spoil) our Halo 3 experience, and we're certainly not going to ruin it for anyone else, so we haven't checked it out ourselves. If you really want to see it, you'll have to take Joystiq's advice and Google "Halo 3 ending." The rest of us will stay here in spoiler free country.

Yeah I hope you guys are paying particular attention to all posts leading up the and following the release of Halo 3. There are going to be pricks that will just randomly post the ending... Happpened in the Halo forums. Someone was complaining about the guy and said... see this is the message he sent like a total idiot... I got blind sided... luckily it wasn't detailed so I can still enjoy it. Hopefully it won't be obvious when the actions occur so I can still get caught off guard and enjoy the story to the fullest.

meh, i watched it. no biggie. did it rune the game for me...nah. it kind of makes it more exciting knowing what you are playing for. i mean tho, come on, we all know what the ending will be...

And also, even though I might sound like a douchebag, I hope you guys are watching the comments and cleaning out any that might contain the ending, even if it might mean spoiling the part of the ending or the game for yourselves for the sake of your readers. I know I sound like a douchebag saying this, but I really hope that you guys would take one for your readers. And believe me, if I was you guys, I would sacrifice the plot for myself for my readers. I'm very curious, but I know that if I did watch it, it would kill a lot of the anticipation and enjoyment of playing the game through. I just hope it's not cheesy!

X3F, you guys should really stess that these comment sections are also not necessarily spoiler-free. I know it sucks but I haven't looked at a comment section since I heard about the leak. I actually squinted my eyes to scroll past all the previously made comments on this post just to avoid seeing something. there may just be some jerk willing to ruin it for everybody.

Funny thing is, the leak is originated from Norway, my country. A person in Oslo and a person in Stavanger bought their games at one of the biggest electro-shops here in Norway, and both laid them out for sale at www.finn.no. Microsoft bought both copies.
We also had a rumor in norways biggest newspaper that the game had leaked to the net.

I have seen the ending, and I can say that seeing it has not spoiled the game for me and has only increased my anticipation for Halo 3.
Not to mention the final snip-it after the credits (like when you saw 343 flying off in Halo, or Gravemind talking to Cortana in Halo 2) was not included

If you delete/ban or edit anyone who posts the ending to Halo then you are doing a disservice to freedom of speech.
I know part of the ending of the game and will not post it because even though my hate for those that think Halo is the end all to all games is strong I hate it when people post spoilers but yet at the same time you can not expect to catch every single comment.
We all know that the spoilers are going to be everywhere on the internet. If you truly want to prevent any spoilers from showing up then disable the comments until after the launch of Halo 3 but don't try and censor what people are trying to post on here....

I just try to imagine a life like yours only getting joy out of spoiling things people hold dear and enjoy. You must live a very sad life. I hope your children are born healthy and happy so that you can spoil so many things for them. OK !!! Just listen... As most of you know I have the game and beat it 3 times already... It's amazing so this MR X guy can go fuck a Grunt for all I care and this neon bastard... DUDE.... ANYWAY !! The Ending is VERY good and it will definetely please the majority of Halo fans...
I loved it personally... You'll hate it at first and then after the credits... You'll love it... So stick around...
The only complaint I have is... I had A LOT of questions... and Bungie only answered like 2 of them throughout the game lol
so if you're looking for a history lesson and all of your questions concerning the the forerunner and the halo structures to be answered then I'm sorry but this is not that game... However I still very much enjoyed it...
Just have the mentality of not questioning things too much and not overthinking and just accept masterchiefs mission and objective for what it is... Save earth and that's it... It was never a fact finding mission just a mission of salvation so accept it for what it is...
I hope that didn't spoil too much I tried my best not to leak anything I have a lot of respect for the people that really appreciate the story... Bungie even stated on the making of disc that only 10% of the people that purchase Halo will play the campaign all the way through...
So my rule is... Let the minority enjoy this masterpiece...

Tony....your to funny. I bought the retail version but today I just turned it in for Blue Dragon. Since, HALO2 is better than WarHawk. ROTFL
Also why say things off topic. I saw the shotty video looks so dark and blurry that you only see mashed up video. I think it was recorded with a cell phone cam. LOL I'll still love this game and will enjoy the ending in FULL 1080p and a crystal clear image. Back to WarHawk comment: Not everyone has a mic not everyone plays as a team and the whole six axis crap sucks. All of my friends and myself just use the dual analogs (and everyone that i've played with).

I like the fact that you have selective reading and put a spin on what I say better then Bill O'Reilly. I am a huge fan of Metal Gear Solid and I wouldn't want the ending of MGS: GOTP spoiled for me though its coming out for the PS3.
I as a fellow gamer know the pain when some asshole spoils the ending for me.
My argument is that X3F is a community and we should be able to post on this site what we want.
I know that my argument may seem contradicting but if you think about the argument it does have some ground to stand on. Granted that X3F may do with what they wish in the comments such as grant prizes, use certain comments in their posts, or even use posts in the comments section in their podcast, it's the fact that regardless of the ToS we should be able to post in this section on this site as long as it has relevance to Xbox 360 gaming in which posting spoilers would fall under.
Someone post the spoiler and let X3F delete that post and ban the IP they have that right by running the site...they will only loose my respect.
