Let's finish this fight: Halo 3 launches tonight

After years and years of waiting, wild speculation and lots of praying the day has finally arrived. Tonight, at midnight in your respective time zone, Halo 3 will be available for purchase at retail and will be breaking video game sales record left and right (fingers crossed). We'll all be celebrating launch night in our own way, some of us will wait patiently at home, some will attend midnight release events while others will make their way to one of many official Halo 3 launch parties held around the country by Microsoft and Bungie. Tonight will go down in history, tonight we begin the journey in an effort to finish the fight ... tonight we get our Halo 3. Have fun gaming fellow fanboys, we'll see you online soon.

good luck getting that LE at best buy. i doubt they have enough. the walmart i work at didnt even get one LE. they got 30 collectors ed and 100 regular. 130 total, which i seriously doubt is enough. i know im getting a regular and a LE, so if anyone needs one after tonight ill have them on ebay for a hefty price. lol. xboxps3man on ebay if you have an endless pocket and are desperate for this game. i got mine early from ebay myself for like $70.

Its gonna be so cool and ill finally be able to get a good nights rest... Well at least next week i will since ill be playing Halo 3 non-stop. Ill be getting mine at Gamestop in IL and Harlem St. And all of the orders are confirmed so i can get there right at 12, walk in, walk out then play Halo campaign whens i gets homes. OH YEAH!!!!

I wish I enjoyed the previous Halo games... I feel like I'm missing out by not being super hyped.
I hope everyone has a wonderful 24 hours, though. I can certainly appreciate getting a game you've waited years for.

I've been debating going to the midnite launch and laying out of work tomorrow, but after staying up until 4am friday night and saturday night I'm still too tired. Guess its a normal bedtime and work for me as usual tomorrow. But I'll be damned if I'm working over at all!

I've got no fight left in me. My 3rd box gave me the RRoD death a couple of weeks ago. Sent it in and when I realized I wouldn't have it on H3 day, I canceled my pre-order and pre-orders for about 6 other games.

Yeah mine died Sat mourning as well and I too canceled my preorder. Sucks and I think microsoft should compensate for this happening to anyone in this spot with something special for missing the biggest game launch in the history of gamming ( not the greatest ).

Ha I got mine today (24th), The LE is so cool, but im not gunna watch the dvd yet because it says there is stuff that gives away the plot, but the book and little poster = sweet. Oh yeah Halo 3? fucking awesome, it plays really nicely. And forge is great too fun for getting to learn the maps. I didnt use multiplayer (afraid i would get banned for some reason) but im sure its going to be kick-ass. (oh yeah P.S. the discs were loose in mine but no bad damage)

Amazingly, my local Gamestop, which told me it would open at midnight after which I gave them my $5 for the preorder, did NOT open tonight. Neither did the Circuit City nearby, as the Sunday ad promised it would. AMAZING.

No halo 3 for me tonight, I bought a limited edition and both discs (not just the game disc) were scratched to hell. I got a refund but they only had the regular ones just like everyone else.

Dissapointed in the online co-op. No ability to pop in or out. You have to play co-op the whole time or not at all. Come on Bungie, Epic did it right with Gears, what were you thinking?!

Having a problem with registering my gamertag for the free upgrade to gold with best buy. Fucking safari POS browser... I couldnt seem to input an email address but I apparantly registered but halo 3 doesnt see my account as anything but a silver.

im in the same boat as you soup4brains waited in line for hours, rushed home and got the RROD after 4 minutes of halo3 didnt even get to start a campaign or play the game at all.. WTF microsoft and bungie, Also my LE disc were loose and scratched but it still played as for my 360 is a paperweight and i recenlty bought about 9 months ago in costco.. so disappointed..im here enjoying my Halo3 LE tin can...

Ya know whats funny guys....there hasn't been one posting on the Halofanboy.....I mean Xbox360fanboy since the launch last night. How much do you want to bet that somewhere out there, there are a dozen or so dedicated bloggers passed out cold, with their stupid ass Halo colored green controller and matching wireless Halo headset, Cheeto's stained hands, glaze crusted moustaches from one too many Krispy Kreme donuts during their overnight H3 orgy....laying dead on the floor (in their mom's house of course) from playing the shit out of Halo last night...didn't the power of Rockstar Energy Drink and Mountain Dew (Halo juice) cocktails keep them awake??? Yet we, the dedicated readers yearn for just one more, one more article about Halo....please, please, give us one more, PLEASE!!!

The only people who want this game, are those who have played the series on the orignal Xbox since the first.
And the only ones yearning for it, are the ones who ALREADY have an Xbox 360. Good luck seeing any profits from your admittingly fun, although furiously overhyped one hit wonder, Microsoft.
